Kaili instantly went for dessert, the flan of course, but Ramon reacted quickly and slapped her hand before she reached it.
"Tsk tsk, Kaili." Ramon said while slowly shaking his head.
Everyone began eating. They shared the food equally with each other, until all they had left on the table was dessert. Everyone stared at the flan, and then one another. Obviously, Kaili was the first to make a move and grab a slice of flan, followed by Ramon, and finally Cass.
"Mmmmmmmmm!" Kaili moaned- not in a sexual way as Ramon would've thought so, "this is so delicious!"
"I got to agree, the caramel makes it so fucking gooddddd." Cass announced.
"It feels nice to be half Mexican." Ramon said with a smile on his face before putting a spoonful of flan in his mouth.
"So what happened between you and the rest of the people in the group?" Cass asked Ramon.
Ramon looked around, "Who? Me?"
"Yes, you!" Cass chuckled.
"I don't fucking know, man. Yeah, I was immature, but I said the damn truth. If they can't handle it, then they can kiss my ass." Ramon said.
Kaili stared at Ramon, "I didn't expect him to do that, I mean he hardly even talks at all."
"What do you mean 'he'?" Cass asked making a confused face.
"Let's just say I got kicked out of the group." Ramon said with a straight face.
" Oh... I'm sorry..." Cass whispered.
"It's fine, I have my own friends now, a better life, even. The only person I've really been keeping in touch with is you and Kaili." Ramon said, "So how's everyone?"
"They're- they're good..." Cass explained.
Kaili continues listening to the conversation, still eating her flan, half way done.
"How are Nat and Naomi?" Ramon continued asking.
"They got snapchat! Yeah... they don't post anything though."
"Ah, cool, of course." Ramon said.
At this point, Cass and Ramon weren't focused on eating and continued talking.
"So who are your friends now?" Cass asked Ramon.
"No one that you would know." Ramon said, giving Cass that look.
"...okay... what have you been doing lately?" Cass asked more about him.
"Watching Grey's Anatomy, trying to get the attention of a girl that won't notice me, trying to get proper amounts of sleep, trying to stay sane." Ramon responded.
"Look, I'm sorry I ruined your life and-" Cass apologized before getting interrupted.
"You didn't ruin anything, it was my fucking fault, Cass. I was being stupid and irrational." Ramon said.
Kaili began eating Cass's flan, which Cass didn't worry of.
"Do you still like-" Cass said, before it happened again.
"No!" Ramon exclaimed.
"But you were texting her a couple hours ago." Cass said in a confused manner.
"Yes, but she hurt me. She never fucking answered me and lied." Ramon said in an angry tone.
"Oh..." Cass said.
Kaili looked at Ramon's flan after eating Cass's flan. Ramon looked at her, Kaili looked back. She gave him puppy eyes, to see if he'd give her the flan.
"You're lucky I'm nice." Ramon said while passing over the flan across the table.
Kaili gave Ramon the brightest smile, Ramon smiled back at her. You could tell he was tired, that he was still hungry, but he still gave it to her.
Cass got a text from her mother, "I'm outside, you have 3 minutes." Was what the text said.
"My mom's here, we have 3 minutes, let's go." Cass said.
Kaili quickly shoved down her throat what was left of Ramon's left overs and got out of her seat. Ramon picked up all the trash and threw it in the bin. They began heading to the entrance of the mall.
Kaili made contact with Ramon while walking by connecting shoulders with him, "So who's that girl you're trying to get?"
"Let's just say she likes Grey's Anatomy." Ramon responded.
Cass looked at the two, and slightly smiled. It was depressing. You could tell she wanted Lucas around, feeling lonely. They walked outside and saw Cass Mom's car which they headed towards.
They stepped into the car and put on their seatbelts, "where we headed to next, kiddos?" Cass's mom asked.
"Can Kaili And Ramon hang out at the house, Mom?" Cass asked.
"...sure." Her mother hesitated.
"Oh there's no need to worry, Ms. Wiley, Kaili and I are very responsible, you can trust-" Ramon said before getting interrupted.
"I'm not worried about that." She responded.
On the way to Cass's house, the song "Like A Virgin" came on. Ramon instantly reacted and hummed along to the song.
After several minutes on the trip to the house, they finally arrived at their destination.
"Alright we're here!" Ms. Wiley exclaimed.
Everyone except Ms. Wiley unbuckled themselves and got out of the car.
"See you next week, Cass." Ms. Wiley said to Cass through the window.
"Bye, Mom." Cass said, in a disappointed way.
Ms. Wiley drove off and Ramon stared at Cass.
"Oh, Cass... I'm- I'm so sorry..." Ramon said emotionally to Cass.
