Chapter 5

OKAY I KNOW YOU PEEPS HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS FOR A LONG LONG TIME SO I TRIED MAKING IT WORTH YOUR WHILE, I MADE IT A BIT LONGER SO HERE YOU ARE A LONG CHAPPIE!YAY ME!!! o(≧∇≦o)

Well you see what had happened was... you've actually progressed in your beta learnings more than we exspected so within a day or two youll be headed back to your pack! my uncle spoke in a happy and impressed voice, a bit shocked that i just learned that i had exceeded their expectations i sat there dumbfounded. I just cant believie it! Me. A late bloomer. Exceeding their expectations is just...wow. Anyways as the conversation continued from there i learned that i could bring a few willing freinds and my pet cat. Yeah i know a werewolf owning an animal as weak as the feline species as a pet but!~ my dear Cheshire is no ordinary cat he's what most people would call a neko! He can shift into a human at his own will and is very respectful, obedient, and my most trust worthy companion. I just love him! Although he's clingy from time to time I love him as if he were one of my own. After all he never wants to leave my side, ever since I saved his life he's just been that way. After learning the details about my departure I left silently into the house with a bowl of fruit in hand. I walked up to the door and opened it only to walk into a 'brick wall'I fell back clenching my eyes shut tight preparing for the impact but it never came,I slowly opened my eyes to see CheshireWith his arm out I followed his arm down to his wrist to see him clenching onto my wrist I tried to move back only to notice his other arm was snuggly wrapped around my waist holding me close to his chest. I looked up to him and gave him a bright smile followed by a curt thank you to show my gratitude. After a random and a bit disturbing moment of him checking me for wounds as if he were a mother goose checking her little ones for injuries I finally got to get past him and walked back to the living room to see no one. I linked a few of my friends to ask where they were, Eva was taking a shower, Chris was out on a run, and Matthew was in the kitchen helping with tonight's dinner(more like a feast in my eyes but whatever ಠ_ಠ)I asked them all to meet me in my room in about an hour. They all said a quick OK and went back to what they were doing. I went up to my room and took a quick shower and just sat on my mini black leather love seat, I looked to the side and spotted the book I started a few days ago I picked it up and started reading, about five pages through the third chapter I felt a dip in the chair only to see Cheshire getting comfortable from the corner of my eye he rested his body on my lap and my free hand naturally found its way into his soft coat of fur, as I read I heard his soft purrs and occasional mewls of happiness it put a smile on my face. Not noticing how tired I was I slowly drifted off to sleep dreaming of things only goddess knows of.

CHRIS'S POV

I ran for another twenty minutes after the group conversation with the others. On my way back I just sort of jogged back on the trail accompanied by the beautiful sounds of the woods, sadly all good things have to come to an end and I made it back to the still lively pack house I let out a sigh and just Went up to my room and took a quick shower and just went down to the kitchen after. I sat on a stool by the counter islandi just say there watching Matthew cook with a few mother's from the pack waiting until he was done, although it took a while finally the remaining eighty minutes were up Matthew was told it was okay for him to leave the kitchen about thirty minutes ago so he and I decided to just play video games for the time being we shut off the PS4 and headed up stairs on our way to Nick's room we saw Eva coming from her room and she accompanied us to his room.

EVA'S POV

When we made it to Nick's room Matthew was the one to knock asking for entrance when we got no reply we nocked again, me being my normal short tempered and bad ass self stated to get annoyed (ಥ_ಥ) so I began banging on the door I even kicked it a few times I kicked it once more and finally the door opens only for us to see a slightly grumpy and tired looking Cheshire standing before us he gave out a hiss and a growl giving us a silencing gesture and pointing to his owner sprawled out on his small leather chair with his book still in hand. We watched as Cheshire sluggishly walked or more like dragged himself over to his owners side, to wake him up all he did was turn into a cat and nuzzle his small head in the crook of Nick's neck. Nick woke up with a quite chuckle and spoke with a tired voice raspy " Okay I'm up Cheshire are you hungry or do you just wanna play?" Cheshire shook his head and looked in our direction Nick followed his gaze and saw us all in the door way "Oh! Come on in you guys sorry I guess I just lost track of time and feel asleep" he yawned. We all made ourselves comfortable, me on the left side of the bed, Matthew in the middle, and Chris just sat on the edge on the right. I watched as Cheshire changed back to his human self and shortly walked over to a mini fridge in a corner of the room and grabbed a mini carton of milk and a bottle of water, I watched in curiosity as he silently walked back to Nick and handed him the water bottle and sat in the free space beside him Nick gave him a quite thank you and Cheshire went back to what he was doing. Cheshire opened his carton of milk and took a long chug of it sat it down on the table beside him rested his head on Nick's lap, Nick just opened his bottle and pretty much emptied it's contents setting his bottle beside his leg.

MATTHEW'S POV

After setting his bottle down Nick cleared his throat and said "OK! So you guess you do know your my best friends right?" He asked we all nodded our heads yes and he continued "Well it turns out that I've exceeded my uncles expectations on my beta training and I will soon be leaving this pack." We ask gasped Eva and Chris said some words of protest while I just sat there shocked, Nick cleared his throat to get our attention. Chris and Eva went silent and waited for what he was going to say next as was I the next thing he said put us all in shock"My uncle said that I am only able to take a few willing pack members on my trip back home and-" he was cut off by all three of us yelling a heartfelt"YES" Nick looked at us with shock"well I see you already know what I was gonna say!" He chuckled.

NARRATOR'S POV

Cheshire perked up in surprise and fear at the sudden words that left his owners lips, he whimpered and mewled poking at Nick's chest the teen looked down and saw the confused and scared face of his adorable neko he gave him a reassuring smile and ran his fingers through his soft hair"It's okay Cheshire he said I can bring you along to! Just promise me you'll be good, I know how you get around new people." Although reluctant at first Cheshire nodded his head OK and rested his head back on his beloveds lap. Nick began to speak again only this time to his three friends"You guys just so you know we only have a few days to get packed also Chris tell your mate that she can come along when she comes back tomorrow, oh and one more thing *insert evil smirk here ^̮^* I think you'll want to pack warm.)

I'd just like to say I am really sorry for not updating for a while I guess I was just being lazy cause of school but I got a few messages from you guess and said to myself I totally know how they feel they need this update so here it is my lovelies (^～^)
