Chapter 1: New Girl in a New World

*BEEP BEEP*

"Five more minutes!"

*BEEP BEEP*

"Okay, Okay I get it!"

{Clementine sits up in her bed, Slamming her fist down on her Alarm clock which let out a light buzzing noise as it stopped it's incessant noise. A light chuckle can be heard as Clementines door opens revealing The Short haired, Jane. Jane wore here typical jacket and jeans while holding a cup of coffee, She sits down on Clementine's bed as the Teen began furiously trying to wipe the sleep out of her eyes}


"J: Excited for your first day I see"

{Jane chuckled before taking a sip of her joe}

"C: As sarcastic as ever, I guess I am....but I really want to go back to sleep....I miss the summer already!"

"J: Yeah, You suddenly miss the summer? when the most you did was stay with Your Cousin, Sarah & Work at the Shop with Kenny & I"

"C: Look I don't need facts right now....I need to find my hat!"

{Clementine yells as she tries her best to find it under all the clutter around, She knew that Jane was right. One of the only friends she had was Sarah, And that was just a familial obligation for their friendship. Clem really just had Jane & Kenny.....and sometimes would speak to a local reporter named Carley, She never really had any real friends her age which could possibly be a outcome of the trauma she has occurred over the years. As Clementine is about to scream in frustration, She looks at Jane who is twirling the hat in with her pinky}

"J: Now what do you want to say?"

"C: Thank you Jane, Kenny already started early?"

"J: Started Early? He never stopped....He's been working nonstop on a repair and I think it might be due to you going back to school.....he's kinda gotten used to you being around all the time.....and I know you'll probably think of me less of the bitch for saying this, But I am going to miss having you around as much....Kenny gets a lot more annoying if I don't have somebody to vent about him to"

"C: Aww....you do have a soft side after all Wicked Witch!" 


{Clementine wraps her arms around Jane with a tight squeeze, Jane proceeded to set down her coffee and return the hug. After their brief embrace breaks Jane gives a smirk}

"J: You really have grown-up a lot Clem....You better not start breaking hearts right away....Kenny will flip, And as much as i'd like to see that....I'd prefer not to live with him constantly like that."

{Jane punches Clementine in the shoulder playfully as she stands and begins to exit through the doorway and looks at Clementine one more time with a proud smile before walking down the hall}

"K: Bus is here Clem!"

{Kenny knocks on Clementine's window as she fumbles books into her bag, She desperately tries to get her arms through the straps while she begins her sprint down the hallway and through the front door. She sees the bus as a familiar face, Belonging to Sarah waving. Clementine smiles before running over to Kenny, His beard was unkempt but he still wore his Trucker cap with pride. Half of his face was stained in oil but that didn't stop Clementine from giving her adoptive father a kiss on the cheek}

"K: Have a good day darlin' Try not to work too hard"

"C: I will Kenny, Try to not kill each other while i'm gone okay?"

"J: No Promises!" {Jane yells from the back} 



{Clementine chuckles as she approaches the bus, Taking a deep breath as she walked on board. She looked for Sarah out of the crowd but saw that she was already sitting with A boy writing in a journal, She looked around the seats trying to see a empty space next to someone but ultimately finds none. She sighs and decides to sit in the back, At least she wouldn't be amidst the chaotic social ramblings in front of her, Clementine was social but never really amongst kids her own age. They all seemed to be into different things and kept swapping out phones each week a new one came out, It wasn't her seen so she didn't want to be apart of it}

"C: Wow.....I really don't know anybody here except Sarah.....This is going to go as well as expected...."
