Where am I? Why can’t I open my eyes? Why do my arms hurt so much?  It comes flooding back. Cutting yourself, getting caught, the tears streaming down your face, locking the door, giving up and darkness. The stabbing, painful darkness. Then weakness. You couldn’t keep your eyes open. You heard screaming voices and your name. Over and over again. The door opens and then footsteps. You hear your name. You open your eyes. Ally. She screams for you to stay alive, to stay with her. The only one I cared about. Weakness overcomes you again. Pain. So much pain in the darkness. Voices scream. Sirens burst through it all. Movements and complete darkness. I’m dead aren’t I? Wait no. if I was dead I would feel pain right? I’d be able to move. It’s quiet. “Hey Austin. How’s it going? You ok? Last night? That was ridiculous. I love you.” Ally? So I’m alive. Gotta do something for her. I’m gonna get better for her. Open eyes? Nope… Move leg? Nope…twitch fingers on right hand. Yes! Success! Gotta get better…
