The doctor looked surprised. She seemed completely dumbstruck. “Why are you looking like that?” I asked as I stood up.
“Well he shouldn’t be conscious right now. His body’s been through way too much to be functioning properly,” she says.
“Well sometimes miracles happen,” I smile. Then Austin opens his eyes. They were looking for something.
“Aaaaalllllyyyyyy” he manages.
“Ally? I’m here.” I say and turn around. “Everything gonna be just fine.” Kathrine looks shocked and awkward and mostly confused.
Awkwardly she said, “Umm… I’ll just leave now.” and she quickly shuffled out the door.
