“Ok Ally. So how did you get involved in everything that’s happened to Austin?” asked Kathrine?

“Well we’d been dating for a while and we were at his house and he told me he was going to kill himself. I’d already known he was severely depressed. I talked him out of it but every now and then I still have had to. And every time I’d get him not to he’d beg me not to tell anyone. So I wouldn’t. Anything he asked me I pretty much did on days like those. Then last night his mom called me.  She told me he’s tried to kill himself and I was shocked. He’s always told me everything. So I got over there. He’s locked himself in his room so I yelled through the door. He would open the door so I went and got the key to his door-”

“Sorry to interrupt but why didn’t his parents get the key?” asked the doctor sitting next to me.

“He hid the key under the refrigerator so no one could get in his room. But anyway so after I got in his room I looked around and nothing immediately hit me. Then I saw the blood. It trailed to him curled up behind his bed. He had been pale and his arms.” I broke off. I started to cry a little.

“It’s ok. You don’t have to tell me if you don’t want to.”

“no.” I sniffed, “I grabbed the sheets off his bed and used then to put pressure on his arms. Then I yelled for his parents to call 9-1-1 but they didn’t. So I got my phone and put 9-1-1 on speaker and got an ambulance to come. Then the professionals took over and told me I’d done a good job and ya.”  I sat there and kinda played through everything in my head one more time. “Ya”

“Well Ally you’ve been through a lot. If you need anything we can give you we will do our best,” said Katharine.

“Give me Austin back. Help him get better. That’s all I want.” I reply. Then he moans! I turn my head and squeeze his hand. I smile.
