Part Fifty-Six: Pride Over Love

NO ONE'S POV:

After that last fight Zayn started finding any excuse to stay away from the house, now he spends most of his time with Perrie at her house or at the club, drinking in order to forget. His days became the same; drinking a lot and then coming back to Perrie at night, either to have sex or to fight with her, two different options but both lead to the same result; forgetting about Lauren even if it was for a brief time.

He stopped sleeping at his house because he knows Lauren get annoyed when she sees him. He sees it in her eyes when they met, he sees anger, he sees pain, he sees hate in those eyes that once looked at him with all the love in the world. Her eyes became something else, something he wasn't used to see, something  he's the reason of, and that was so hard on him because he knows he broke her inside and made her life worse than it was before.

Lauren on the other hand, was seeing something else in his deep, hazel eyes. She sees love in those tired eyes, but all that love hides behind a lot of fear. And what was hurting her the most that she wasn't able to break these walls of cowardice he created around himself.

 It was so painful to see what happened to them after all the love they shared. Everything has changed; he was the reason why she went to sleep with a big smile over her face, now he just became the reason why she cries herself to sleep every night. It was awful, she barely sees him after that fight they had which ended up by him going to see Perrie and spending the night with her. she cried for the whole night that day, knowing that he's with her now and doing the things she wants do with him. it felt like there's fire burning inside of her, she was totally broken inside. He broke her, he broke her and caused her a pain that she never thought she's able to feel.

Love was just a word for her until he entered her life and gave this simple word a beautiful meaning. But he turned all of this into wounds inside her heart, he added more pain to her life. This pain she felt in the past was nothing compared to the pain she was feeling now. She never knew that love can hurt this much. She never knew that a broken heart is much worse than any other pain.

"Hello?" Lauren answered her phone as she shifted up in her bed. It was about 5 in the noon and Lauren was sleeping, it was the only thing that managed to distract her from thinking about him.

"Heeey Lolo!" Perrie's voice came from the other end of the phone, causing Lauren to sit up immediately in her bed.

"Perrie? Um.. Hi! How are you?" she asked nervously, surprised from hearing Perrie's voice.

"I'm good, what about you sweetie?"

"I'm great." Lauren, of course, lied.

"Lauren, I need your help in a very important thing. Can you please come to my house so we can talk?" Perrie asked politely, making Lauren more confused.

"Yeah, sure. I'll be there in an hour." Lauren replied, still shocked from this unexpected call.

"Thank you so much sweetie, see you in an hour." Perrie was about to end the call but Lauren stopped her,

"Umm Perrie, are you alone?" she asked, just to make sure Zayn is not there.

"Yes, I'm alone. The girls are in vacations with their boyfriends." Perrie answered, thinking that Lauren was asking about her band mates.

"Okay good, see you soon."

"Bye honey." And with that she ended the call. It took Lauren a few minutes to get up from her bed, she was still surprised from Perrie's call. What does she want? What's the thing she wants to talk to her about?

She got up and went to the bathroom to start getting ready for going to Perrie's house as she promised her, even though she wasn't in the mood to get out from the house. But she has no choice, she has to see her and know what she wants from her. Her only hope now was not seeing Zayn there because she knows she can't handle seeing him with her.
