Seraphina rushed from her home to the lab where the creature was being studied because she received a call that it had woken up. She makes it there quickly and all the scientist are in the back of the room as the creature still bangs away at the glass pod. All the scientists look to where Seraphina entered. "Is everyone alright?" Seraphina asks. "Chief Seraphina! You'd better explain what is happening to that thing now!" The head scientist says angrily. The creatures cracks the glass of the pod and nearly breaks it. "It's not important right now! I need to subdue the creature again! Let it out!" Seraphina says. "What?!? Are you crazy?!?" The scientist says. "I can't get my hands on its head through the glass. I'll make sure it doesn't harm any of you. Just open the pod!" Seraphina demands. She snaps in front of the pod's door ready to confront the creature. The head scientist pushes a button on the back of the pod to open it. The creature shrieks charging into her and pushing her into the wall of the lab. Seraphina grabs the creatures arms to restrain it as it tries to bite at her. Seraphina kicks the creature to the roof and snaps to it, swinging it around before throwing it to the ground. The creature gets up and its wings protrude from it's back as it starts to take flight. Seraphina puts a protective bubble around all the scientists. The creature does a different kind of scream and holds it for much longer. It's also much louder, making everyone cover their ears. "What is this thing, anyways?!?" Seraphina asks the scientists. "It's a habitant of a planet from a nearby solar system! It's called a Kann'lik!" The head scientist says. The creature then stops screaming and there's a sudden low rumbling feeling in the ground and everyone hears a low buzzing sound. "What did it just do?" Seraphina asks. A chill runs down the head scientist's spine. "That was, a distress call. It was calling for back-up!" The head scientist says. "Back-up? What do you mean?" Seraphina says. The Kann'lik then flies through the roof of the lab, creating a hole. When Seraphina looks through the hole at the sky, she's terrified. She sees thousands of Kann'liks swarming the skies of Heaven and hears nothing but chaos outside. "Oh no... No, no, no! How are they all here? How many?!? Hundreds, no, thousands!" Seraphina says looking at the sky in awe. She looks back to the scientists. "None of you move a muscle! You are to stay here until further notice! Got it?!?" Seraphina says. They all nod as Seraphina flies outside through the hole. Her city is being completely overrun. Other police officers and even Heaven's army are trying to take out all of the creatures and get everyone to safety. More and more of the creatures seem to pour into not just the city, but the entirety of Heaven. Thousands turn to hundreds of thousands, and then to millions.

Seraphina looks on in horror as the once bright sky is being eclipsed by the sheer number of Kann'liks continuing to arrive. Seraphina drops to her knees staring at the ground in defeat. "This... this is all my fault. If I had just listened... If I had just killed the creature when I had the chance... None of this would be happening..." Seraphina says to herself. She takes off the Chief of Police badge of her chest and looks at it. She then gets angry and throws it to the ground shattering it. "No! This is my city! No tyrant, dictator or creature will take it away from me! Not that easily!" Seraphina says getting to her feet. She powers all the way up to Super Saiyan 3 and starts charging a ki blast. She fires it off and it grows to a massive size, wiping out several hundred Kann'lik creatures in the sky. Then a portion of them turn their attention to her and several hundred dart down toward her. Seraphina tightens her guard as the quickly swarm her. They lift her from the ground and carry her into the air. Seraphina breaks free from the one's restraining her and starts combatting the ones around her. She's able to easily kill the ones around her, but the numbers game starts to catch up with her. She continues fighting against the swarm for over 2 hours and is starting to tire. She's covered in scratches and claw marks and is breathing heavily. Thousands of creatures lay dead beneath her on the ground. However, more of the creatures are still charging full speed at her. Seraphina nearly collapses, but stays on her feet. Then suddenly a woman in heavenly armor with two swords on her back snaps in front of her with an open palm. "Get back!" The woman says. Seraphina is shocked but has no time to process it. The woman effortlessly blows the incoming swarm away with a ki blast. More creatures come in from different angles, but the woman clears them all as well. After a while, they stop coming. The police and army manage to pick off the rest of the creatures and the remaining ones start to flee. The woman finally looks back to Seraphina with a serious expression. When Seraphina gets a good look at her, she gets very surprised. "That's... That's Queen Valentia!" Seraphina says to herself. She quickly powers back down and drops down in a kneel before her, her head down. "And who might you be?" Valentia asks Seraphina. "My name is Seraphina Marianne, my Queen. (Seraphina Marianne is her full name. In Heaven, last names are normal.) I am the Chief of Police of this city." Seraphina says not lifting her head. "Oh, you're the Chief of Police Seraphina that I've heard so much about. Meaning that you are directly responsible for the sudden population influx of these creatures, correct?" Valentia asks. Seraphina swallows nervously. "Yes, that is correct. This is all, my doing." Seraphina says. Valentia sighs. "Well, lucky for you we were able to easy exterminate them. However your sense of judgment seems like it's lacking. On your feet. You're coming with me." Valentia says. Seraphina obediently stands back up.

A few guards show up as well. "All the creatures are cleared, my Queen. Heaven is safe for now." One of them says. "Very good. Nice work everyone. Apprehend the Chief of Police and take her back to the Palace. I'd like to have a word with her." Valentia says. "As you wish. Come on, let's move." The guard says to Seraphina. They both lead her away to the Palace. About an hour later, Heaven is being cleaned up and Seraphina is in the throne room of Valentia's palace kneeling again. "So, Seraphina Marianne. Just to make sure I have this right, you are the Chief of Police in your city, correct?" Valentia asks. "Yes. That's right." Seraphina says. "Which means that the public safety of your city falls entirely on your shoulders?" Valentia asks. "Yes, my Queen." Seraphina says. Valentia then pulls out a piece of paper from beside her. "Well. Allow me to tell you what your actions have done for not only the public safety of your city, but the public safety of the entirety of Heaven." Valentia says. She starts to read off the paper. "Total amount of property damage: 12,390,371 shillings. Total amount of injuries: 2,197,804. And total death toll: 120,710. All as a result of your mistake." Valentia says. Seraphina closes her eyes, almost as if she's wincing in pain from her decision. There's a moment of silence. "Well? Aren't you going to say anything?" Valentia asks. Seraphina regains her composure. "I made, a brief lapse in judgment. I see the error of my ways, and I am prepared to take full responsibility for my actions." Seraphina says. Her voice starts to break as she's on the verge of tears. "Hmm. You seem like a prideful and well mannered Angel. I'm sure that mistakes such as this aren't typical for you. However, I can't allow an avoidable tragedy like this go unpunished. So, what do you think is a fitting punishment for you?" Valentia asks. Seraphina is quiet for a moment. "My banishment from Heaven... and a loss of my position as Chief of Police." Seraphina says, tears running down her face. Valentia thinks for a moment. "Lift your head. Let me see you." Valentia says. Seraphina lifts her head and her face is red from her crying. Valentia sighs. "You know, I kind of like you." Valentia says. Seraphina looks at her surprised. "You have a lot of potential. You seem smart, and quick witted, and you held off hundreds of those creatures yourself so you must be exceptionally strong and resilient." Valentia says. "I, I don't understand. Why are you praising me? I am solely responsible for hundreds of thousands of deaths." Seraphina says. "That is true. However I wouldn't consider you a screw up just from making one mistake." Valentia says.

Seraphina is frozen in shock. Valentiaa shrugs her shoulders and continues. "But, in regards to what happened today some action on my part must be taken. Now, I think your banishment from Heaven is a bit harsh of a punishment, however I will have to release you of your duties as Chief of Police." Valentia says. Seraphina sadly puts her head back down. "I understand, my Queen." Seraphina says. "For now you are free to go home. But I really want you to reflect on the events of today. The good, and the bad. Learn from this, so that it never happens again. I have a feeling we'll meet again someday. Now you are dismissed." Valentia says. Seraphina stands up, her head still down, and the guards lead her out. Seraphina geta back to her apartment and it was destroyed during the invasion. Venus was at her job and managed to stay safe, but the two girls stand in front of their leveled home. Seraphina explained everything that happened to Venus. "Wow. I can't believe it. I thought I was having it rough today. At least you're alright." Venus says. Seraphina doesn't say another word, lamenting about everything that happened. "Hey, Seraphina?" Venus says. "This is all my fault. So many lives lost, our own home, all lost because of me..." Seraphina says. "Hey, don't start sulking. That doesn't help anything. It's a shame that it happened, but being somber about it won't change anything. We can get ourselves back on track." Venus says. Seraphina remains quiet. Venus grabs her shoulders. "Look. You're ok, and I'm ok. Lives were lost, and it's tragic, but as long as we're alright we can bounce back from this." Venus says. It's silent for another moment. "Ok..." Seraphina says. They watch as their apartment begins being reconstructed. They can't stay in it until it's rebuilt so they both stay with their parents in the meantime. Seraphina sits on her old bed in her old room as her parents stand at the door. "You can't stay for as long as you need. You're always welcome here, sweetie." Penelope says. Seraphina still remains silent. "Seraphina?" Penelope says. Seraphina looks up at the two sadly. "Thank you, Mom and Dad." Seraphina says in a hushed voice. They both look at her concerned. "Well, you're ok. And that's all that matters. Are you going to be ok staying here for tonight?" Harold says. Seraphina nods once.

They close the door and let her rest. Seraphina can't fall asleep that night and tosses and turns in her bed. Finally she gets up from her bed and decides to leave her house. Without saying a word and without notice, she wanders off into the night away from her family.
