Lightning struck across the sky. The thunder mixing with the sound of the gun going off. The pain in his wrist made him almost drop the gun but Gabriel held on to it. He could've left Jacob alone, as Jacob said. They could've forgotten it all.

Gabriel refuses to be beaten. He will not be defeated by that brat. If Jacob refuses to come back with him. Then he'll die instead.

Watching as Jacob's shirt darkened as blood seeped through the fabric was satisfying for Gabriel. The boy registered the pain after a moment and collapses with a gasp. His friend caught Jacob and held him close as blood started to cover his chest.

"Jacob!" yelled the man, Bucky.

Gabriel takes a few steps back as he watches the two.

"Bucky . . . " Jacob coughed. Blood pooled out of the fighter's mouth and ran down the corners. "This was going to end with either him or me dead. I guess it was me." he finished as he caresses Bucky's cheek with a bloody hand.

'It seems so.' Gabriel thought as he leaves the two as they were.

His entire body ached and screamed in pain. None of his bones felt like they were broken. With each step he took, Gabriel felt shocks of pain shoot through his body.

Gabriel limped away from his men. Their blood pools were mixed together. Neither Paulo or Johnny showed signs of life. Too much blood escaped their bodies. Their fates were sealed the moment they were attacked. Honestly, Gabriel was going to miss them.

"YOU BASTARD! IM GOING TO KILL YOU!" roared out the other man.

'Shit.' Gabriel thought as he turns to see Jacob's friend, Bucky, snarling at Gabriel like an angry animal. The man didn't move from where he crouched, holding Jacob close and trying to keep the bleeding under control. "You can either kill me or save Jacob. It's your choice." Gabriel said coldly.

He could see how conflicted Bucky was. Bucky couldn't do two things at once. It could risk Jacob's life if he tried to go after Gabriel.

"I hope I don't ever see you again." Gabriel said as he gives a brief wave goodbye. His wrist screamed in pain when he did.

When Gabriel reaches the SUV, he heard the distant wail of sirens. He looks down the road from the direction that he originally came from. Faintly, he can see the flashing lights of ambulances and police cars.

"Shit." Gabriel said, this time aloud to himself.

The SUV was unlocked, and the keys were still in Gabriel's pocket. He climbs into the driver's seat, groaning with each movement he made. Shoving the keys into the ignition, he turns the car on with a hard twist.

'Gotta get away.' Gabriel thought in a panic. Slamming down on the gas, the car lurches forward and starts moving.

Gabriel struggles to keep himself awake as he drove. The skin on his face had melted over his eyes. He had to force the skin off of his face, crying in pain with each rub. 'I'm gonna need to go to the burn ward for this.' Gabriel thought in frustration.

He wasn't able to get far down the road. Driving for about a minute; his foot was pressed down on the gas. Through his hazy vision, Gabriel saw something in the middle of the road. He stomped on the brakes and stared out the window in confusion.

In front of him was a giant bull.

"Seriously?" Gabriel said in annoyance. The bull was thick in muscles and had sharp horns. "Don't farmers keep control of their livestock?" he grumbled under his breath as he honks on the horn.

The bull did not appreciate the noise and shook its head. Gabriel could see it flare it's nostrils at him. 'Great.' Gabriel thought. He puts the car in park and gets out of the car.

"Listen you big oaf," Gabriel growled at the animal. "I'm in a hurry so move!" he shouted. He aims the gun at the bull and hooks his finger around the trigger. "I'm not afraid of some damn animal!"

Gabriel didn't realize the mistake he's made until it was too late. The bull flared its nostrils and stomped its front hooves into the ground. It's eyes seemed to narrow at Gabriel as it bowed its head, aiming its horns at Gabriel.

"Oh shit!" Gabriel cursed. He pulls the trigger, but nothing comes out. Only the sound of the trigger being jammed. "Fuck!" Gabriel yelled.

The bull charges at Gabriel full speed. Gabriel narrowly misses been gouged by jumping to the side. He landed on his side and cried out when dirt and rocks got into his burns. 'Fuck!' he thought as he struggled to get up.

When he got back up, Gabriel looks at the bull and curses again. The bull was standing next to the open car door. 'Great.' he thought as he tried to figure out a way to get back to the car. Only to be interrupted by the bull charging again.

A string of curses escaped Gabriel's lips as he runs across the road and jumps over the fence. He hurried across the field as fast as he could. The bull let out a roar as it was able to jump over the fence and chase after him.

Gabriel zig-zags with all of the energy he had. The resistance in his legs made it feel like he was dragging dumbbells. 'Fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck!' he thought as he could feel the stomping of hooves vibrate underneath his feet. The bull is catching up.

He wasn't able to move any faster. The bull knocked him off of his feet by swiping Gabriel under the legs. Everything was a blur as he was sent flying.

Landing flat on his back, Gabriel felt a shockwave of pain run through his body. The wind was knocked out of his lungs. He groans in pain as stars were sparkling across his vision. "This is why I eat cows." he grumbled under his breath. "They don't fight back." he growled.

As he was collecting his breath, he heard the stomp of hooves heading his way. Gabriel forces himself up into a sitting position and looks around. To his left, the bull was walking toward him in an angry stride.

"Fuck!" Gabriel yelled as he found his second wind and took off running once again. "I hate the country." he hissed under his breath. He hops another fence, stumbling in the process.

Finally, his legs give out from underneath him. Gabriel cried out as he collapses.

'I-I can't run anymore. My energy is spent.' Gabriel thought. Sweat mixed with the blood running down his face.

A heavy breath of air danced on the back of his neck. The hair on his neck stood on end. Gabriel tenses up as he slowly turns his head to see what was behind him.

It wasn't the bull but a horse of a tremendous height. Stark white hair and big blue eyes. The large beast stared down at him, sniffing at Gabriel curiously. 'What is with the animals here? Why are they so big?' he thought in annoyance.

"Get the hell out of my face." Gabriel snarled, shoving the horse's face away from him. He digs the blade ring into its cheek deep enough for blood to appear. The horse let out a snarled neigh and jumps back. Gabriel notices that it's ears were flicked back and it did not look happy.

Suddenly, the horse turns around so that Gabriel was facing its back legs. "Fuck." Gabriel said once he realizes what's happening.

The mob boss wasn't able to move in time. With a powerful kick of the horse's back legs, Gabriel was hit in the head. And his world went black as his neck snaps.
