P.O.V : Liliana

A couple of more weeks have passed and it was now the weekend for that dumb winter dance. I enviously listened in on other girls gushing over what they were going to ware and who they were going with. I walked downtown with a thick coat on and looked as people swarmed a small boutique. I looked through the glass window as a couple of dresses caught my eye.

I let a sigh slip past my lips as I could see my breath from the cold air. I slammed my hands deep down into my coat pockets and strolled past the shop.

"I feel like a white dress would have suited you." Evan's voice rang close to my ear and I felt myself jump slightly as I looked over my shoulder. He had a smug grin on his face and an expensive coat on. A blonde girl frowned as she looked between the two of us. She held a pink dress in a long bag, so as to protect it and she clicked her tongue.

"Let's go Evan"

He lazily looked over at her and rolled his eyes. "Just wait by my car"

She huffed and stormed towards the Mercedes. "No hard feelings, she's just your replacement for the weekend."

I forced a smile on without visibly gagging at his smugness. "Of course not, she looks..lovely"

This guy has the biggest ego I've ever met, as if I would have gone with him. The whole reason I'm avoiding the dance was because of him.

"We should go for that coffee"

I squeaked as he grabbed my wrist. "Now?"

"Well duh" He dragged me towards a café and I looked over at his car where his date was waiting.

"But what about your date?"

He scoffed "She'll be fine"

I looked over at him and he held a smug grin. What an asshole.

"Well actually, I have somewhere to be." I tried to wiggle my way out of his grasp but his grip tightened immensely. He tossed a glare back at me.

"Yeah, having coffee with me. You can't get out of this one so easily."

His anger radiated off of him in waves and his grip began to hurt with each increasing second.

"Let go of me, your hurting me" He leant down close to my ear.

"Than listen to what I tell you."

I smacked his hand and he looked shocked as he let me go. "I've had it with you! I'm not interested, so fuck off! Your an emotionally and physically abusive person, how about you go get help!" People began to stop and stare at our little show and his cheeks heated up out of anger.

I shimmied the strap of my purse more up my shoulder and quickly walked away from the café's store front.

I heard him scoff. "Your going to really regret rejecting me Liliana!"

I increased my pace and unconsciously rubbed my wrist. I could see a small bruise beginning to form and I shivered.

By the time I made it back to the apartment complex it was beginning to get dark and I could see a light on in my apartment window. "Dad's home?" I mumbled.

I slipped into the elevator and let out a sigh. Evan had wiggled underneath my skin and left a bitter taste in my mouth. As soon as winter break was over, I'm sure my life was going to turn into a living hell at school. I slumped against the rail in the elevator and stared at my worn down shoes.

The elevator dinged and I was met with Larry and Sal bursting into fits of laughter by Sal's front door.

"Bro Todd really did it!" I sighed but this time a small smile lit up on my lips. They had a habit of pranking Todd, half the time the ginger didn't understand what was so funny, but these two had a stupid sense of humor.
