Chap. 11

JOSEPH (CHRYS DAD) POV

My son's been acting strange lately. I swear this nigga invests all his money into his back account.

Even when I give him his lunch money he makes a sandwhich and puts the money in his account. I have no idea why he's saving so much.

"Chrys!" I call from from downstairs. He hasn't left his room since he stormed in angrily last night.

"Yeah dad?" He says coming the stairs.

"Why you been saving so much money?" I ask.

"For, c-college," he says.

"Hmmm. Your ass just stuttered which means you lying. But imma let you off the hook for now. Just know imma be watching your EVERY move," I say.

"O.....k," he said.

I made him get away because I had other plans.

LYRYC POV
"That little thing right there is the baby's heart and his tiny little heart beat," the doctor said.

"Awwwww!" I say.

I felt thirsty so I told my mom I was gonna get some water from the cooler in the hall.

The second I held the cup to my mouth and before I can drink some water I passed out.

As I open my eyes I notice that there's rapid movement around me.

The movement sooner became clear to me. It was Chrys pacing quickly across the floor.

The second he realized my eyes were open he rushed to my side.

"What happened?" I ask.

"According to the doctor you passed out due to dehydration and..." he says not finishing his sentence.

"And?" I say hoping it'll be the answer I was hoping for.

"The doctors know your pregnant," he says.

I sigh sadly. The answer I was hoping for was that I fell on my belly and had a miscarriage.

That's when the question hit me. "Omg! Does my mom know?"

"No. I begged the doctors not to tell her. They just told her it was due to lack of hydration," he says making me exhale in relief.

"Wait. Maybe I can get the abortion right here and right now. Chrys, call the doctor for me," I say.

"Why do you hate this baby so much?!" Chrys asked.

"You know what, if you won't get the doctor for me I'll get them myself," I say getting out of the bed.

"Keep avoiding my question," he says.

"Whatever!" I say.

After having a word with the doctors they said I couldn't have the abortion now so I was back to having it in a week.

"Lyryc let's go," I here mom say.

Chrys was with her. Ekon couldn't make it because he had some stuff to do.

Times like these I wish I was still in contact with my father. I rather speak to my father about stuff like this but according to mom he left the country and never came back.

QWYNN POV

Something's going on with Lyryc. She doesn't know that I know but I hear her vomitting at night. She's sick but she hasn't say a word to me about it. This is so unlike her.

As we pulled up in the yard I saw Ekon exitting the house to help with the bags because we picked up a few things from the supermarket on our way home.

"Hey ma!" He said as he kissed me and spanked my ass.

"Mom can I ask you something?" I hear Lyryc say stopping me in my tracks.

"Do you know which country dad flew off to?"

My heart beat sped up. The lie I told her was that her dad left and never came back.

How tf are you supposed to tell your daughter you sent her daddy to meet his maker because he used to abuse you?

"Uhm no hunny. All I recieved was a text saying I left the country and I'm never coming back," I say.

"If he texted you that means you have his number or social media name?" She said happily.

Ekon passed behind me and gave me a that-aint-my-business-so-figure-it-out look.

"Why do you need to talk to him about anyways?" I ask.

"Mom why are you changing the topic?!"

"Watch your tone lil girl!" I say.

"Mom, please? I miss him everyday. Why can't you just give me his number? It's not like he's gonna take me away from you," she says.

I decided to tell her the truth.

"El, there's something I gotta tell you."

"Hmm?"

"Your father's dead," I say.

I saw a tear escape her eye before hundreds more started following.

"And I killed him," I say.

She looked up at me with hatred in her eyes before running into the house sadly/angrily.
