Chap. 10

CHRYS POV
After having a long ass conversation with my teacher for Lyryc I made my way to the cafeteria.

Everyone was circled around some drama going on. I didn't care about the drama because I just needed to makesure Lyryc and my baby was alright.

I kind of blame the whole pregnancy on myself because if I didn't ask her to go on the pill we would have used condoms so she wouldn't have gotten pregnant.

"What's going on?" I asked some random dude.

"Lyryc, Brittney, Carla and Judith are fighting," he said unlocking his phone to video.

I managed to get an upfront view. I saw Lyryc got up off her butt and punched Brittney in her nose before kicking her across the room.

This is nothing like the Lyryc I know. She wasn't done beacause she was going towards Brittney. I immediately picked her up and threw over my shoulder before carrying her to the library.

"What the hell?" I say.

"Now your lil fuck buddy will know not to fuck with me again. Why the fuck did you take me out. I was about to make that bitch get face surgery!" Lyryc said clenching her fist.

"What's wrong with you Lyryc. This isn't like you," I say.

"I'm fuckin sick of it Chrys! I'm tired of ignoring and not doing anything. I'm done with this "just ignore em" shit. Imma start retalliating!" She said as she moved towards the door.

I stepped in her way to stop her. "All this stress and anger isn't good for the baby," I say.

"What baby? Speaking of your baby, I scheduled a date with the doctor. In two weeks this thing inside me of will be just a memory. Now. Move!" She said.

I couldn't believe she called our baby thing. She must really hate it.

"Why do you hate our baby so much?" I ask.

"Our baby? Nigga this is your baby and I aint want it. I'll be more than happy if you could have carried it. Now for the last time, Chrys, MOVE!" She yelled.

I just stepped out of her way and let her pass.

SHAY POV

I had the day of so I decided to clean the entire house. Yup, I was that bored.

After an hour and half the entire house except Chrys' room was cleaned.

He didn't like when I cleaned his room but that was his business. I barged into his room and started cleaning.

I started from the bathroom.

As I was emptying his bin I saw 3 pregnancy test that said positive.

What the fuck?

There were only 2 females besides me who entered his room- Lyryc and his sister.

I know for a fact it wasn't Bryn. So it was either Lyryc was pregnant or Chrys brought some other female into my house when I wasn't here. All I know is that Lyryc is probably pregnant or Chrys got some girl pregnant.

I decided to keep it a secret until I got my facts straight.

I needed to tell Qwynn as soon as possible.

QWYNN POV

I had just finish work and was about to enter my car when my phone rang. It was an unknown number but I answered it.

"Hello?" I say.

"Is this Lyryc's mother, Qwynn?" I heard a lady say.

"Yes, how may I help you?" I reply.

"This is Ms.Green, the principal. You're daughter was involved in an all female fight this morning. Please report to school as soon as possible?"

"I'll be there," I say ending the call.

Lyryc? In a fight? This was quite unusual.

.......

"Good afternoon ma'am," I say.

"Good afternoon miss. As I said on the phone, your daughter was involved in an all-female fight. But this isn't what I mainly want to speak about. I checked the school camera and it was the other student's fault so she doesn't get any penalty. Anyways, I've been checking Lyryc's recent grades and she's gotten 7 zeroes in the past days. As you know, graduation is in a few months and her grades need to be on top else she won't be able to graduate. I know Lyryc and she's a genius. Something must be going on with her. I'm not her mom so I encourage you to check up on her." The principal say.

"What's going on with you?" I say breaking the silence in the car.

"Nothing ma. It's just that I was sick so I missed a few tests. I promise I'll do em and pass," she said.

"Your ass bet!" I say.

"How's the baby?" She asked as she touched my belly.

"It's good. You wanna come to check up with me Saturday?" I ask.

"Yeah sure!" She say.

LYRYC POV

I was laying on my bed while listening to some music from Logic when my rang.

It was Chrys so I picked up.

"Yeah?" I say.

"I'm coming over. We gotta talk," he say.

"Sure," I reply.

He ended the call.

Chrys entered my room and threw himself onto my bed.

"It's about the baby," he say looking into space.

Uuuuugggghhhhh why does he always have to bring up this God damn thing inside me?

"What about it?" I ask.

"I-I-I wan-"

"Spit it out Chrys and stop stuttering,"I say aggrivated.

"I wanna keep it," he blurted out.

I burst out laughing but after 5 minutes of non-stop laughter I realise he was actually serious.

"Oh you're serious serious?" I ask making sure to repeat serious.

"Yes I'm SeRiOuS sErIoUs," he said mocking me.

"Well sorry to break it to you on such 'short' notice but I aint keepin this thing," I say.

He grabbed my palm and say "Why don't you wanna keep it?"

"Because I'm not ready to be a mom," I say.

"You're lying," he say.

"Well believe what you want. Now can you leave? I'm tryna study in peace," I say opening the door for him.

"I know you're lying to me El but I promise you, imma get to the bottom of it," he say as he tried to kiss me on my forehead but I dodge it so he leaves.

Only if I could have told him the truth.
