Chap. 25

QWYNN POV

It's been 2 days since I left my family. I was now driving home from work. Even though the doctor said to take a week off from work I burnt the letter he gave me and attended work. I can't abandon my kids when  they need me the most.

I was eating some McDanolds that I had buy on my way home because this baby inside me is never satisfied.

When I reached home there were 2 unknown cars in my yard. I exited the car and made sure I was presentable. 

When I entered the house Ekon greeted me and kissed my lips. I the saw Abayomi, Ar'jana and my father.

"Hey! What are you guys doing here?" I ask. 

"We told mom our secrets," Ar'jana said.

"You mean you studying to be cosmetologist and Abayomi planning to quit?" I ask.

"Yup!" Ar'jana said positively.

"What? Why?" I say.

"We couldn't just let her treat you like this. She has controlled our lives for years and it stops today. What she did to you pissed us off and we blurted everything out. Dad also got her to apologize. She's on her way. You deserve an explanation and an apology," Abayomi said.

"Thank you guys!" I say as I hugged them.  

In a half an hour later mom came over. She request that we spoke in my room and away from the family. Plus, my room was sound proof. 

"So?" I ask as we sit on the bed.

She exhaled before saying "I loved you from the day you were born but when you turned 3 I realized you weren't like your siblings. You see, I was raised to do exactly what my parents said. If they said jump I had to ask how high. I guess because this is the way I was raised that this is also the way I wanted to raise my kids. I was forced into this marriage and had to learn how to love your father. I controlled your siblings life but by the time you were three you started making your own decisions. You mostly did the opposite of what I said. Whenever I told you to wear your pink dress you will do the opposite by wearing jeans. This got to my head because when your siblings saw that you did the opposite of everything they started following you. The started to rebel. When I kicked you out everything went back to the way they were and everyone was following my rules again. I think I was jealous because you were becoming the leader when that was what I was supposed to be doing. I've been thinking and I realize I can't control everything and everyone in this world. I'm so so sorry Qwynn. I'm sorry for the way I treated you and spoke to you. Can you please forgive me?" That was literally the nicest thing my mother has ever said to me.

"Mom, I've already forgiven you. I'm not a person of grudges," I say as I hug her.

"I love you mom and you don't have to reply," I say.

It's been one whole week since the talk with my mother and I feel like a burden has been lifted off my shoulder. 

LYRYC POV

 Chrys was on another trip to New York for another photo shoot and I was jealous and envied him.

What am I saying?

Only if this thing wasn't inside of me. I was listening to Khalid as I read a book on wattpad. My phone pinged and I quickly picked it up. It hasn't pinged the entire day. It was from Judith.

U know I don't like that girl and as a real friend you shouldn't be hanging around with her.

Just because you don't like her means I have to dislike her too Lyryc.

U don't even know why we were together but you're so quick to jump to conclusions.

She read the message and didn't reply. My birthday was around the corner and I was going through so much shit. I'm supposed to be enjoying life but here I am, a pregnant teenager who's not sure if she's gonna have a happy future.
