Chapter 17

  *2 months later*
Rebecca's POV

Time went by quick, me and my family had a party for new years and it's already going to be February. Things have changed in these two months. Julian went back to Mexico, soccer season is over, which meant me and Josh couldn't see each other any more, so we were both pretty sad because we were really close, the next time I might see him is when we get our awards from City Hall for being the city champs. Andy hasn't been going to both school and karate, so I'm pretty worried for him. Ricky has let go of his feelings for me and now we are officially cool.The last thing is pretty sad for me... It's very hard to go through this. Me and Anthony aren't really pulling it off anymore. Yes we still text and all, but I just feel like...like...I don't have feelings for him any more. The only person I can tell this to is Ricky, ever since he confessed that he didn't have feelings for me any more, he would help me cheer me up whenever I'm down. Yes, Nayeli is my best friend, but she will make a big fuss about it, so I rather tell her second.

Me: Hey...uh...I need to tell you something...important...
😀Ricky😀: What's up?
Me: I think...I might break up with Anthony...😒
😀Ricky😀: What! Why?!
Me: I guess I don't have feelings for him any more...
😀Ricky😀: oh...will...idk
😀Ricky😀: I mean, when are you going to tell him?
Me: Idk, I'm afraid that it might break his heart as mush as mine...
😀Ricky😀: Hey, don't worry you'll get over it some time, I guess you just need some space and see new people...
Me: ya, maybe
😀Ricky😀: Do you tell the others yet?
Me: No, you are the first
😀Ricky😀: oh, I see, well, go to them, and remember I'm always here to cheer you up 😋❤
Me: Thx Ricky, what can I do without you

As I finally got the confidence to tell Nayeli, I decided to tell her in person.

Me: Meet me at the park now VERY IMPORTANT

I put my phone in my pocket and walk to the park.

Me: Good, still walking, meet me at the swings
💜Nayeli💜: Ok

I put my phone back in my pocket and crossed the street to get to the park. As I headed to the swings I saw Nayeli AND Raul.
"Two for one, I guess..." I thought to myself. I waved at them and they waved back.
"So...what's so important?" Nayeli had a very serious face.
"Um...well..." I trailed off, scratching the back of my head.
"I think...I think I might break-" I was cut off.
"NO WAY!!!" Raul put a hand over his mouth.
"REALLY!" Nayeli's eyes wide (Jungshook), getting off the swing and getting super close to me. I nod my head in sadness.
"WHY! You guys are cute together!" Nayeli shouted. "Shhh, keep it down, people are staring!" I put my hand on her mouth. I look around and see many people and children staring.
"Sorry..." She lowered her voice. Raul just face palmed and shook his head.
"Well, I guess, I don't feel a connection any more between us..." I look down, avoiding making eye contact with both of them.
"So, are you going to tell him...?" Raul asked.
"I'm planning to, but I don't know when the time is right, that's all..." I lowered my voice almost into a whisper, but enough for them to hear.
"Hmm...I rather tell him now to get it over with..." Nayeli said.
"But won't that be so sudden...he won't understand..." I looked up at her. I felt a lump in my throat, I don't want this to happen, but it has too...
"Just tell him you don't like him any more, that's all..." Nayeli put her hand on my shoulder.
"I can't do this, it's going really fast..." I shut my eyes...not wanting them to see my teary eyes, but fail as a tear slowly travels down my cheek, then to my chin, then to the ground.
"Rebecca...please...don't cry..." Raul hugs me. I hug him back, crying on his shoulder making his shirt wet as more tears come.
"Rebecca, stop crying...just tell him. Yes, I know you're heartbroken already, but you'll manage..." I let go of Raul and now I hug Nayeli so she can comfort me.
"I'll do, but please, guys...help me what to say..." I rubbed my eyes with my sleeves from my sweater, as I slowly stopped crying, but knowing I'm going to cry more later.
"Ok, let's get this over and done with..." Raul put his arm around.
I take my phone out and go mine and Anthony's messages.

Me: I need to to tell you something important...

Me: ....this will be hard to say but...
Me: I think...

Me: I think we should break up...
❤Anthony❤: You...you wanna break up...?
Me: yes, I'm sorry, it's not you it's me...
Me: I...I don't have feelings for you any more and I think we need some space from each other for a while...I hope you understand
❤Anthony❤: oh ok...yes...I understand...
Me: are you sure...are you sure about meeting new people...?
❤Anthony❤: No, but I do understand...
❤Anthony❤: I guess this is it...
Me: ya...
❤Anthony❤: I love you...😒
Me: I...I love you too 😔

That was our last "I love you" As, I said good bye to Raul and Nayeli, I went back home. I didn't really wanna do anything, but cry...cry...and cry...I went straight to bed checked the time
*8:30pm*
I don't usually sleep this early...today I did.
I woke to my alarm clock going off to get ready for school. I wasn't ready to face Anthony, even I might see him outside his house.
"I'ma just avoid him today and see how it goes, this isn't my year anyways..." I thought to myself. I got up and went to do my morning routine. I made a cup of coffee and got in the car and drove off.
"Remember turn in all your work and ask for help." My mom said out the window.
"I know." I said. We waved goodbye. As I walked up the stairs to enter the school, I saw my friend Tiffany and walked up the stairs to our classroom.

Nayeli's POV

I got on the bus to get to school. As the bus made it to my destination, I went up the stairs to my class, since I was a little late. As I sat down in my seat, I find Rebecca and Tiffany laughing.
"When did Nayeli get here?" Rebecca continues to laugh.
"I just got here!" I laughed a little.
"Guess what happened to Tiffany." Rebecca said.
"What?" I looked at Tiffany.
"When I showed my mom my award she asked Tiffany about her's and she told she didn't get one."
"Bro, I was literally scared..." Tiffany giggled.
"Tiffany's greatest fear is my mom." Rebecca laughed.
"Oof." I said.
My teacher passed out some awards for perfect attendance when most of the class was here.
"LOOK! You're mom is going to be happy now, I got an award." Tiffany laughed. Me and Rebecca laughed as will.

*Ring Ring*

The bells and class starts. As we finished watching CNN 10 News, we got out our stuff to take notes about China. "CAN YOU GUYS PLEASE SHUT UP!! IT'S THE THIRD TIME I SAID THIS!!!" Our teacher yelled at us, mostly at the other kids that were talking g and being loud. I just sigh ashamed at everyone...

*Rebecca's and Nayeli's mind*

Kill me now, I'm trying to live that rock life!!!

*after school at Raul's house*

Raul's POV

I sent the text and waited for an answer...

I open the message and read it. I smile.
