After only a few hours of sleeping, the hunters barged though the steel doors. Once my head shot up from all the commotion I saw about a dozen hunters all with weapons. Many of which also carried large shields. Except for three which each had a long wooden pole and some rope. I bounded out of the cage and took to the air leaving the swarm of hunters behind until I remembered that I was still trapped due to the chains over the arena. I roared in frustration and blasted at the huge ring of fire proof metal that kept the whole thing together a few times then gave up and looked for another way out. There was no way out. One of the hunters tossed a rope around my tailfins making it nearly impossible to steer in flight.

After trying to get free from the rope so I could fly, he tugged on the rope and pulled me down and I crashed onto the stone. I stumbled up and broke the rope with a weak blast only for my head to get its own rope around it. I pranced around attempting to get free.

Then I heard Gezzor's voice dance around in my head saying, "Don't waste your energy. It's not going to come off" like he did when I first met him. I relaxed and gave up knowing that it was true. So I did as the hunter wished and followed him between two wooden poles screwed to the ground.

I snorted and bared my teeth to show my displeasure as another hunter put a second rope around my neck and tied it to the pole on the opposite side than the one other rope was tied to. All the hunters danced around me putting pieces of rope, metal and leather against my skin the yelling thing such as "seven feet" or "three yards" to the one that wasn't do anything but nod his head and rub a stick into a leather notepad which I thought was a complete waste of leather when you could be tearing it up with the rough texture on your tongue.

After they finished their odd ritual they untied the ropes and I let out my inner fury. And let's just say they may need to hire some new hunters. They eventually stuffed me back into the steel doors and they slammed them shut and the darkness appeared again. I paced around the dark space for a bit roaring and screeching to be free and soar through the clouds once again.

I eventually got bored of doing that I attempted to take off the rope around my neck. I clawed at it like I did with an itch. When that didn't work I rolled around on the floor hoping that it would slip off. When that didn't work I tried to grab the loose end of the rope and pull it off with my mouth. I grabbed the rope but that only made it tighten.

Then when I was about to give up, I remembered about when I got my foot stuck under a rock while I was on a family hunt my father accidently blasted a huge boulder. A few of the large fragments landed on my tail and I was stuck. My parents immediately rushed to help me. As my mother reached out to pull the rock off of me my father said, "Wait how about we let her get herself out". When my father said this my mother and I both cocked our heads wondering how I was going to do that.

"Ferinix, lick your paw and get as much of your saliva as you can on your tail," he instructed.

"And how is that going to help" I asked with a little sass in my tone

Father wrinkled his nose at my tone and said, "It should let you slip right out"

I did as he said and after repeating the process a few times, my tail slipped right out. And gladly there was no damage to my tail fins other than a tiny cut on the left one. It healed up quickly though.

I licked my paw and rubbed my saliva on my neck where the rope was then grabbed the rope with both paws and pulled it off. I was glad to have that thing off.

I trotted around the enclosure a few times but got tired so I played with the rope that I got off of my neck and pretended it was a snake. I gently pawed it a bit and when it moved a little further than I expected I jumped back like it was going to bite me. That game was pretty fun and lasted quite a while but even that got boring.

I missed the Sand Wraiths they were always up for a good wrestle. I missed having warmth from another being by snuggling up and purring. There was never a dull moment when Sevi was around she was so always full with energy. Ursai was so intelligent especially for being in that place for his entire life and never actually experiencing the real world. Cavy was shy but once she came out of her box she was so sweet and full of questions.

Oh how I wanted to see them again.

Thinking about them, I fell asleep.
