I ready my weapon, it feels really awkward wielding another weapon other than Len. I also begin to think about the parameters for the fight so I decide to ask him. " So what are the fights parameters?" I ask.

"Let's see, Let's have only battle magic like strengthening spells and stuff like that allowed no elemental or higher magic, ok kid," Gerald says happily.

"Ok," I say I normally use magic in combat so just strengthening magic will probably put me at a disadvantage, but either way this should be fun he looks powerful.

An old man who I suppose is the referee rings a bell and says "battle start".

I immediately used body and weapon strengthening magic, as Gerald began to rush at me with a large wooden claymore. I hold my position with my sword ready to counter. Right before he reaches me he jumps up and begins to bring his sword down from above his head. I quickly side step out of the way so that I would not have to bear his full weight coming down on me which could also break the poor wooden sword. As soon as he lands he quickly tries to change potions to cover up the holes in his defense but I catch the opening before he can cover them and I bring my sword directly into his side which caused him to slide a little bit. He quickly manages to recover and ready himself again.

This time I make the move and begin to rush at him. Our wooden sword made contact with a loud clunk, and we began to push against the swords. I start to notice that his sword is getting heavier and heavier. Crap he must be using weight magic. I quickly pull away and use some speed magic, to try and get behind him, but it failed when I got behind him he already figured out that I was aiming for his back so he had quickly turned that way. Our swords clashed again and this time I could hear some cracking from my wooden sword. I tried to use the weight of his sword to give myself an opening and it worked. My sword managed to hit him in the gut but at the same time, His sword also managed to hit me in the gut.

But at that same time, the man who I think is the referee says " Match over results tie Haro has lasted through the given time of a minute and there fourth passes this test."

I sigh that was one of the hardest battles I had ever fought as soon as I release my weapon strengthening magic the sword crumbles in my hand I figured that that would happen.

" You did good kid I haven't had a good fight like that in a while even without my arm and leg not many people have given me a good fight" Gerald says happily The crowd of students look on at us with dumbfounded looks on their faces, not only had I lasted a two minute I had managed to get two hits on him.

"Thank You, sir," I say politely

"I expect to see you in my class sometime soon so don't mess up the other tests kid See you soon," He says with a smile.

"Yes sir," I say as I begin walking toward the area for grading of the knowledge test as I get there I see Len standing outside of the fighting circle looking somewhat sad. I run over to him. " Len is everything okay"

" Yes I am just somewhat upset that you got to fight a strong opponent without me"

" really that is what you are sad about don't worry I am pretty sure I will be able to fight him again next time I promise that I will use you to fight with okay," I say as I pat his head.

"Really," He says as he raises his head.

"Yes I don't think I could beat him without you anyway," I say with a smile

"Okay," He says as he brightens up

"Now that is dealt with what did you get on your potions"

"A full pass," He says happily

" Are you waiting for your results for the knowledge test now as well?" I ask

" yes, I think I did well on everything besides history"

I turn toward the result board to try and find my results and I see them near the end of the board the results were based on percents so my Language was a 100 percent math was a 99 history was an 89 percent, and Magic theory and Science I scored a 95. Wow, my guessing skills are pretty good at least for that subject.

"So how did you do Len," I ask him

"Pretty good I got an A on everything other than history and science," Len says with a smile "oh and I also passed the fighting exam, It was pretty easy I did not get as good of an instructor as you did though. I think Halo and Rin are about done with their test" Len says with a smile

Just after he said I hear someone come up behind me and say "Hey Haro, Len we are done with everything other than the magic test and we passed everything so let's get going I don't know how much longer Rin can deal with all these people" Halo says.

I turn around and say "sure it is getting late and we should start heading out soon and find where that house is, so let's finish the tests" I turn around again and we begin to walk towards the magic testing circle.
