A/N: Sorry for the long release time between chapters I have been busy with school and what not but I have finally found time this spring break to sit down and write some. Oh and thank you, everyone, who has been following along up to this point so far.
After walking through the city for awhile trying to find the address of our new home. It took around an hour or so and it was almost dark when we found the building. It was a quaint store in the middle of the city between the inn and adventures guild, the building itself had a blank signboard and was made from dark wood. It was around 3 stories tall with every story having four windows each two in the front and one on each of the sides of the building. There are two large thick wooden doors at the front of the store.
I took the key that had came along with the deed to the place and inserted it into the lock under the door handle. I was slightly nervous due to the fact that directly across from the store there was a Church of the False God. I turned the key and the door opened to a somewhat dark interior that seemed well furnished from what I could tell with a countertop and few display cabinets around. I noticed on the walls there was a few candle lamps. I used some fire magic and lit them.
"So this will be our home for a while," I say with a smile. It looks drastically different from back home.
"Yeah, I guess," Halo says with a large sigh. I looked around a bit more and noticed a paper on the counter, it looked like a note, so I decided to pick it up and read it. The note read,
Dear: Haro, Halo, Rin, and Len
I hope you four are doing well. Your grandmother and I decided to decorate the place a little before you got here. If you look on the back of this sheet there is a layout map of the place so feel free to check it out. Oh, also we have fitted the place with multiple different places to craft different things from food to weapons and clothes. Well, that is all for now, hope you guys in joy the new place.
Love;
Your great great grandfather Ro and Your great great grandmother Lo
P.S We left you a bunch of food in the ice chest in the kitchen.
I turned the paper over and looked over it our bedrooms are on the top floor along with a living space and a kitchen, most work areas are on the second floor. on the first floor there is the selling floor and a few other workstations. Bellow in the basement was the bath. Overall it seems like a very nice place.
"Haro what do you have there," my sister says from behind me
" Just the floor plans and a note from our grandparents, No then let's get to the rooms to sleep," I say as I follow the floor plans to head up the stairs.
We pass through the second floor quickly and kept going up to the third. There were approximately four different rooms on this floor and looking at the floor plan I knew exactly which one I wanted the largest room on the corner of the house that also had a secret passage to a small tower up at the top of the house that is hard to see from the front. I quickly ran to the room and yelled: "I have this room!"
"Okay then I'll take this one," my sister said as he walked over to the room that was somewhat close to mine.
"Okay, then I said now let's take a look inside of them now," I said excitedly. I open the door to my new room and take a look around. The moonlight was shining softly through the window that was angled at the perfect position to catch it. Off to the right-hand side of my room, there was a large circular bed that was covered in sleeping furs, I was a little weirded out that I would be sleeping elevated from the floor but I guess that is how most humans sleep at least it had sleeping furs on it. Behind that is a large bird perch with a slightly smaller bed than mine underneath it off to the left of the room was a large closet and dresser set with plenty of room for shoes and clothing. Next, to the dresser, there was a large bookshelf that I assumed had the secret passage in it to the tower After looking around the room for a bit I heard the door open behind me I turned around to see my sister enter the room.
"Wow Haro I see you got the bigger room of the two of us," she says sarcastically as she pokes around the room.
"Well anyway, I think that it is time for us to go to bed we can explore more of the house tomorrow morning before exploring the city," I say quickly.
"Okay, then goodnight Haro and Len," Holo says.
"Goodnight" Rin adds softly.
"Yeah night" Len and I say together.
