So you're just gonna go, this isn't even up for discussion?" Fae's eyes followed Javier as he paced their tent looking for his things before his journey.

"I don't know how many times I have to tell you, Fae. It's Dutch's order, and what he says goes.. Have you seen my-", Fae held up his pistol rounds, she pushed the box behind her back. Javier sighed, stepping towards her," Fae give the box to me."

"No." She took a step back

"Fae, come on don't do this. Give them to me."

"No." She held the box up in the air," Will you just talk to me about this, for one minute."

"I've already told you this isn't up for debate." He laughs," You think holding them up in the air is gonna help?"

"No." She forced them behind her back again before he could grab them," But please, Javi. Just for a moment, please for me?"

"Okay." He sighed gently, then she finally surrendered the rounds, slapping the yellow box in his hand.

"It's Blackwater Javier..." she started in a gentle tone, " We've been gone for only a month, but you know as well as I do...They ain't gonna give Dutch up that easy, Hosea, Delilah, Irene.... Me... You know as best as I do, it's a death trap you're walking into.."

"So what should we do, leave Sean to be hung? Leave Delilah's child without a father."

"Don't start with that you know that baby is Charles."

"Oh please Fae, don't be so gullible. You know as well as everyone around this camp that, that child is his."

Fae shook her head," That's not the point..."

"Then what is the point of this pointless argument?!"

"I can't lose you!" She finally yelled it, her tone shifted to a kinder tone, she ran her hand over his bruising cheek," Okay, I'm not burying you too.."

"Mi amor." He pulled her into a tight hug, kissing the top of her head," Your not burying anyone, not ever again. Worst case, we bury Sean but would that really be so bad?"

Fae chuckled as she buried her head deeper into his shoulder," No."

"Look at me." He pulled her out of the hug, and ran his hands over her shoulders," I promise you that I will come back to you."

"You better." Fae gently pushed his chest," Or I swear to whatever god there is, I'll kick your ass."

Now she had him laughing too," Okay, it's a deal."

After a while of holding each other, Javier finally went his own way towards Blackwater. Fae leaned on her support beam at that sat at the entrance of their tent for what felt like forever. She'd never been so worried in her life, she wasn't religious but she was praying to whatever god there was to bring him home safe. She hated arguing with him, especially before one of them ran off to do something risky. If he were to die, she'd forever feel guilty about being such a thorn in his side. After watching the stars for a short while, she eventually undressed and crawled into bed, laying awake for hours. Listening to the early morning rain pitter-patter on the tent roof, then collect on the ground in small puddles. Just as the sun was rising, she finally was able to drift off to sleep for a few hours.

In the morning she was cold without him, the sheets on his side of the bed still smelled like him. This brought her a little comfort, but a little was better than none. Fae found a little motivation to get up and maybe help around camp. After getting dressed, breakfast and some coffee she found herself doing laundry. Then tending to the horses, dishes, and looking over little Jack for a while.

She always loved that boy. He made even the most sour of men around camp smile, and even melted her tough side a few times. She remembers when he was born, the first time she held him. Fae had never wanted a baby more than those moments. She tended to him a lot while Abigail recovered from labor: feeding him, rocking him, changing him. She never knew she could love something so much that wasn't hers.

Afternoon came and the rain picked up for a little while, then when evening came it cleared just in time for the beautiful red and orange sunset. Fae sat at the edge of camp, doodling in her personal journal. Hosea always loved drawing when he was younger, he passed it onto Fae and Arthur. Speaking of Arthur, he watched Fae from the other side of camp, wondering why she was so quiet all day. She is usually very social around camp, always the spire happy one, always dancing and singing. Making everyone smile and laugh was her specialty. He collected his things then went to her.

"What you up to woman?" He asked leaning over her

"Oh hey, Arthur." She mumbled

"You alright?"

"I've been better. Ain't you supposed to be in Blackwater."

"I've been busy." Arthur sits next to her, dangling his legs over the edge," Finnick has me running around like the damn errand boy."

Fae chuckled shaking her head, returning to her drawing," I don't know why you take orders from that boy... Shouldn't he be taking orders from you?"

"You know how he gets, my way or we ain't doing it... Anyway, what you up to?"

"Nothin' much just drawing really, nothing quite on you and Hosea's level.. " she held up the journal and handed it to him," Here take a look."

He was hesitant to take it, kinda felt like reading something too personal. Like reading her diary or if he just handed her his journal and said have at it! But she is among the few who he has opened up to and showed her his drawings, but only as a way to spark a conversation. He had to take a double take at the art before him," What do you mean this isn't on me and Hosea's level?! Fae Bennett this is beautiful."

Fae smiled brightly as she looked up from the journal, and at him " Thanks Arthur, there just doodles from my brief journeys out of camp."

Arthur looked around quickly making sure no one was eavesdropping on them, he reached into his satchel and pulled out his journal,"I've been drawing too." He whispered then chuckled

"Well come, let me have a look."

"I've been exploring up North, Grizzlies East and Roanoke Ridge. On my way up there I found this rock, with names carved from people all around the country. Then here I found a meditating monk who didn't speak, and on the way up to Roanoke there were these trail trees."

"You said Finnick's been keeping you busy?"

"Shut up." He started to close his journal

"No,no,no I was kidding come on keep showing me."

"There ain't much else to see, except a few herbs and animals I saw."

"Well I'd love to go up there with you sometime... Sounds like it's beautiful up there.."

Arthur stood from the edge and handed her journal back," I'd love to take you along sometime..."

Fae bounced her journal in her hands a few times," Thank you Arthur... for showing me your journal... I know that's a very private area of your life and I'm glad you shared it with me..."

He tipped his hat at her," I best be getting on to Blackwater before Finnick needs me to babysit him again."

Fae laughed," I'll see you around, Mr. Morgan..."
