No one saw it coming. Nobody had time to prepare. He was taken away from them to soon. But he was an angel ready to go home.
December 18, 3022, was the day Corbyn Matthew Besson-Marais had gone to heaven. He left peaceful, surrounded by those who loved him.
The night before, his loved ones said goodbye. Somehow they just felt it. Yet they refused to believe it.
The hardest goodbyes were from his dad, Ashely, Jordan, his mom, and Jonah's.
Each goodbye broke Corbyn's heart but the one that shattered him, his heart, and his soul was the one from the love of his life.
Christmas being so close, it was a disaster. Their first year without Corbyn, their sunshine, the one who kept everyone happy, wasn't there. It felt as their light had finally gave out.
Yet no one could have predicted it. Not even the doctors. They had thought Corbyn had longer. He was always a fighter and refused to go down until he couldn't anymore.
But no one understood, expect one person. They didn't understand how Corbyn was tried. Tired of fighting, tired of being in pain, tired of being a ticking time bomb who could go off at any minute, tired of having to pretend to be alright. No one understood expect for one person. The love of his life.
So when Corbyn told Jonah, jonah told him to let go. To finally be free. Cause no matter how much Jonah wanted Corbyn to be there, he could not watch Corbyn suffer any longer. A sight no one saw but Jonah himself. So when Corbyn let go, Jonah held on longer. To all the love and memories Corbyn gave him. Jonah held on as Corbyn let go cause Jonah could no longer see Corbyn suffer.
