With this ring,
I give you my heart,
I promise from this day forward,
You shall not walk alone,
May my heart be your shelter,
And my arms be your home

Seventh year and not much has changed. Jonah was still depressed. He didn't feel like living. And he found himself back at the graveyard where his husband was laid to rest.

Jonah wanted to end his life. Damn did he want to fucking end it. But he couldn't. Corbyn made him ten gifts. How could he end his life and be so selfish with Corbyn. Especially as Corbyn prepared this for him. On his death bed! There was no way Jonah would give up. At least not yet.

He just needed to get these ten gifts over with. And maybe, just maybe he would end his life. He wasn't sure of it. But he was slowly making his decision.

Jonah started blankly at the tomb tomb. Tears silently fell down his cheeks. Tears were pouring out but how come jonah didn't feel anything? He was just there. He was numb. And that was scary to him. More then it should have been.

"Jonah," he heard a voice whisper from behind him.

Jonah froze. He knew that voice. He hasn't heard it in years. He couldn't believe it. He took a deep breath and slowly turned around.

Jonah gasped as he saw the person. He got up and ran towards the woman with opened arms. The lady as well ran to him with open arms. They hugged each other tightly. Damn it had been so long.

"Tate," Jonah said her name as he had his chin on her head.

"Jo," she said to him back.

Best friends reunited after so many years. They were best friends since childhood. They had lost contact after Corbyn passed. Jonah shut down completely. And her living in Washington as he lived in California, made it easier for him as they didn't live near each other. Nor did they have the same time done.

Tate was a senator for the government making her extremely busy. But she had to fly for this gift. She was also a huge part of Corbyn's and Jonah's company along with another person. But that's for another gift.

"This is for you," she said as she handed Jonah a ring box, a letter attached to it.

"Thank you," he whispered as Tate nodded and left the graveyard.

Jonah sat down and opened the box. A gasp escaping his lips as tears welled in his eyes.

It was the promise ring. Corbyn's promise ring. It was an infinity ring with "I promise" engraved into it.
