Lena's POV
Game night was supposed to be the best night of the week, maybe it was just because my partner and I weren't getting on all that great? I watched the way Alex and Kara interacted and couldn't help but smile. Alex was usually so serious but thanks to the ball of energy at her side she seemed to be having fun. I wanted the same kind of energy they had but had no such luck. I kind of tried to force it and it ended with James and I epically failing. That's when I decided to just listen to the girls for a bit.
"Our turn." Kara looked excited to prove how well they knew each other.
"Oh." Her sister didn't seem quite so ecstatic.
"Easy! My favorite movie?" I was pretty sure I knew, she was my best friend after all.
"Center Stage." Alex was so dramatic, smacking the table once she thought she knew the answer.
"Excuse me?" Oh no.
"What? You spent an entire summer learning the red shoe dance. You broke three lamps." I definitely had to watch that movie, and maybe ask Kara to show me the dance too.
"No."
"Okay, um Terminator 2? Duh." Pretty sure that wasn't Kara type of movie.
"No, that's your favorite." Oh no. Suddenly the room felt a little tense. "Come on, Alex! Think!"
"I'm totally blanking." The way Kara was looking over at John meant something had to be going on.I decided to save everyone from this very awkward incident. I was pretty sure I knew Kara's favourite movie.
"There's two, right?" Everyone looked at me, if I was wrong I was screwed.
"Yeah." Kara looked so hopeful, did no one really know her that well?
"Frozen and The Wizard of Oz." The look on my friend's face, I knew I was right. In celebration I stuck both my hands in the air with a, "boom!" Everyone looked pretty amused except for Alex, luckily her and Brainy's phones went off. Soon enough they were off to work and game night was pretty much over.On the way home James asked me if I knew his favourite movie and in all honesty, I didn't. I put it down to just having know Kara for longer but maybe those doubts I was having about James weren't just doubts? Whatever. Maybe we just needed practice for game night?
