It's been two weeks since the boys have been back, you would think everything would be okay but they aren't. Katherine has been keeping her distance from them, she's not ready to fully embrace them.
There were other issues with being home as well.
Katherine was walking into her families small studio apartment, her brother Robbie was at Melody's house and her dad was at work. She walked in from a long hard day at school and work. Ashton had finished school before they started music, Calum finished in the states, and Michael and Luke dropped out. She hasn't really seen them in the past few weeks.
It was dark out and in the apartment, she set her keys down, looked through some mail.
"Hey there."
Katherine jumped and look towards the voice, Michael was sitting on the fire escape.
"Michael! Dammit." She put a hand on her chest. "What the hell are you doing here?" She turned on the lights
"I got bored, so I came here, I forgot you worked but it seems you keep the spare key in the same place. " He replied
Katherine laughed a little, "Yeah. Thank you for reminding me to move it."
"Katie we haven't talked like talked in a while, how have you been?" Michael said innocently and walked over and sat in a stool and looked up at her.
Katherine narrowed her eyes and smirked, she crossed her arms.
"What do you want Michael?"
Michael was weak for that smirk, he missed that. She knew him way to well, he smirked right back.
"You got me.. Luke. He's been bugging about you. You won't return any phone calls or anything. He's annoying Katie."
She sighed and looked to the side and walked around the island to the fridge and pulled out a water and looked up at him.
Katherine and Luke had a fling, before they left. She liked him and he liked her. They were dating without the title, to easily explain it. Katherine didn't want to ruin their friendship or make things weird around the other mates. But everyone knew about them. He left without remorse and she was actually hurt. She liked him a lot. Then, she found out in the states that he was having random hookups, she was even more hurt. So she just pushed away her feelings for him. But she would be lying if she said she still didn't have feelings for him.
She groaned, she was dreading this conversation.
"There's nothing to talk about. It was nothing. we grew apart." She shrugged.
Michael could tell by the sadness in her face that she still liked him. He gotten a sudden rush of jealousy.
"He still likes you Katie. He'd like a second chance." Michael had no idea why he was pushing her so hard.
"Then why isn't he the one sitting in my apartment?" She smirked slightly.
Michael smiled at her and shook his head. He was done talking about Luke. He admired her pink hair, it looked so amazing on her.
"You know.." Michael said jumping down from the stool and walked over to the fridge and grabbed a water bottle. "I like your pink hair." He nodded walking over to her, unscrewing the cap and then finally got to her. Now standing next to her.
"So you've told me before." She nodded and put her hand on her hip, and resting her other hip on the counter.
Michael nodded and then poured the water bottle on her. Smiling.
"Clifford!" She shoved him and laughed and walked backwards.
He laughed. "Ive missed you pierce."
