Chapter Nine

The next few days were hard for Katherine because Luke AND Michael were mad at her. Luke was mad because she had been spending so much time with Michael and Michael was mad because she always chose Luke over him. Even when Luke was being the biggest asshole in the world.

But now, Luke was ready to make up with Katherine. He was tired of fighting with her and wanted to show her, he did truly care about her. Even if he was confused about the whole love thing.

"All you gotta do is say youre sorry and hand her these flowers." Ashton said with annoyance in his voice.

Ashton was helping Luke with winning Katheine over. They were at their spot on the beach and Luke told Katherine to meet him there after work. He was going to suprise her with flowers and hopefully talk about everything.

"I know, I know." Luke said in an irratated voice.

"Youre welcome for getting you the flowers, dick." Ashton slapped the flowers on Lukes chest.

"Dont you have a date or something?" Luke glared.

Ashton looked over and saw Katherine coming, "Yes i do. But dont fuck this up, knowing you, you probably will, but good luck." Ashton said and walked off.

Katherine approached Luke and she stopped with a few feet between them, she folded her arms.

"Hey." Luke said as he fiddled with the stems of the flowers.

"Hey." Katherine said and looked down at her feet,

"These are for you.." Luke said and handed her the flowers.

Katherine took the flowers and looked up at Luke.

"Thanks.." She said.

There was an awkward silence between the two.

"Im sorry." They both said in unison.

"Oh.. you go first." Luke said and then laughed nervously.

"Im sorry.. Michaels my best friend and i should tell you if hes coming over or were hanging out. And i shouldnt have fallen asleep with him that night... i know i would be pretty upset too if i saw you with another girl.." Katherine admitted.

Luke smiled at her, "No.. no.. its fine, im sorry for overreacting.. and Im sorry for the way things went down at the restraunt." He stepped closer to her.

Katherine wrapped her arms around his neck,"No its fine.. i understand.. youre confused.. youre not the same person you were 2 years ago.."

Luke smiled in relief, maybe she understood that Luke wasnt the same shy and sensitve guy. The new Luke had different ideals. Luke realized that sex should be part of the relationship. It should just happen and people shouldnt put a time frame on it.

Luke nodded, "Yeah, im glad you finally understand.."

Katherine smiled, "Im glad you undersand that i want to wait, until you are sure you love me."

Katherines perspective on the whole thing was that, yes, sex should be apart of a relationship. But only if the two people love each other. Sex is a fragile thing and she didnt want to just do it with anyone. She was scared to trust Luke, what if he just left her again? And this time never come home?

Lukes smile faded and all he could do was nod. Katherine didn't understand at all. But if he wanted any chance with her, he couldn't let her see how upset he was.

Katherine smiled and kissed his lips softly, "I gotta go, I promised Calum Id meet Jenny today."

Luke nodded, "Okay.. I'll see you later."

Luke was so angry that after fighting like hell with Katherine, she still didn't see it his way. Luke wasn't used to this.

He got whatever he wanted, when he wanted for a year and a half on tour and now he wasn't getting what he wanted at all. Luke didn't like that.

Luke didn't know what to do, Ashton was on a date, Calum was with Jenny and Katherine, and Luke and Michael weren't on great terms.

It was dark out and Luke needed to find some distraction from his frustrating relationship. So, he started walking.

Luke was walking down the side walk in downtown, when he noticed Melody sitting by herself in Moe's.

Luke and Melody never quite got along because well, Melody got on his nerves. She got on everyone's nerves.

But he needed some type of friend, and since his we're all busy. She was the closet thing he had.

Luke walked into Moe's, nobody was in there. He sat next to Melody and looked at her.

"Hey." Luke said.

"Hey." Melody sniffed and looked at Luke.

"Are you crying?" Luke asked and grabbed the bottle of whatever Melody was drinking and took a drink.

Melody nodded. She was crying. Her boyfriend Robby, who's also Katherine's older brother, broke up with her.

"Whys the crying?" Luke asked, taking another drink. It was strong and alcohol. Perfect for Luke.

"Robby broke up with me.." Melody said and snatched the bottle and took a huge drink.

Luke nodded, "That's rough..I guess we both had crappy days."

"It sucks.." Melody said and stared at the bottle, she was pretty drunk. She had been drinking for a while to try and drown the pain.

"Wait why.. are you here? I thought you didn't like me.." Melody said looking up at Luke.

Luke shrugged and grabbed the bottle again and took a drink.

"I guess I had a crappy day, everyone else was busy, I seen you by yourself, so I figured what the hell.." Luke shrugged.

Melody nodded, "Im glad I could be of service." She glared at him and took the bottle and took another big drink.

"What is that anyway?" Luke asked.

Melody shrugged, "I don't know.. Some french wine, I think, but it works. I stole it from Moe."

Luke laughed a lil, "So why did Robby break up with you?"

Melody started to get teary eyed and her voice got whiny, "I don't know! Some stupid slut bag college bitch. She's prettier and older, has a career and blah blah blah."

Melody rolled her eyes and took another drink.

Luke laughed, "Wow, why would anyone pick that over you?" Being a complete sarcastic asshole.

Melody glared and sat herself up on the bar and drank some more.

"You're a dick." She blurted out.

Luke looked at Melody. She wasn't actually that bad looking. Yeah, she was complete drama queen and alcoholic but those we're easy things to look over. Melody was actually really pretty.

Luke shook his head, No, he couldn't do that to Katherine.

Luke grabbed the bottle and took a huge drink.

"Why did you have a bad day, pretty boy? Found out Katherine's too good for you?" Melody smirked and asked.

Luke shook his head, "No, she won't sleep with me till I tell her I love her. And she knows I want to sleep with her but she keeps saying no. And its alll because she "loves." me."

Luke took another big drink.

Melody scoffed and snatched the wine bottle, "You poor thing! Someone actually loves you? Awww must be so hard." She did a booboo lip and took a drink.

Luke rolled his eyes, "Maybe I shouldn't have come here."

Luke stood up and turned to walk out.

"W-wait!" Melody said and stumbled off the bar and ran to Luke before he could leave.

"Please just stay.. I'm sorry.." Melody said, whining.

Luke sighed and then nodded.

"Fine.. Ill stay."
