Five years later: Denver

Teresa's heels clicked across the marble floor of the hospitals headquarters. Whist Ava Paige's recovery she decided to step down the Name WCKD for she didn't want to have any more to do with what they stood for. Now they just kept it as an ordinary city one of the only cities known left in the world. Population of 500,00 uninflected god knows how they managed to find 98% immune but they managed.

As she walked down the halls doctors and nurses waved good night as she headed home for the night. She stepped out into the crisp nightime air inhaling it. She catches the subway all the way to her Apartment in the heart of the city. She stopped into the building I got the elevator up high in her floor number. Arriving she went to her apartment door and opened it quietly.

" Shhhh I finally settled her down." Said a women's voice.

" Thank you Lilly."

" No problem Teresa same time tomorrow?"

" No, I have tomorrow off you enjoy the rest of the night and tomorrow."

" Thank you Teresa."

" No problem. How was she?" She asked and smiled.

" Angel like always." She smiled.

She quietly closed the door behind her.

She slowly started to walked down the hallway to her room and before she could close her bedroom door.

" Mommy your home!" Said a her daughter rubbing her eyes holding her blacker.

" Hi sweetie how was your day today." Smiling and  walking over to Madeline.

Madeline jumped onto her mother's leg clinging onto it. " It was fun today lily and I played games all day after she picked me up from school!" She squealed.

" Fun!" She said. " But now I think it's someone's bedtime picking her up carrying her to her room.

" No mommy you just got home!"

" I know baby but guess what I took the day off tomorrow and we can spend the whole day together." She exclaimed laying Madeline down in her bed tucking her in.

" mommy I have question?" She looked up at Teresa he once blue eyes turned completely Carmel brown just like her fathers. Innocent.

" What is it Maddy?"

" Well in school we have to make something for our daddy's tomorrow for daddy day but everyone has a daddy except for me." She frowned.

She froze biting her lip.

" Oh sweetie you do have a daddy he's..... he's just not with us."

" Is he dead?"

"No sweetie I don't really know where he is but I can tell you that he lives you very much." Touching her nose.

" Really?"

" Really."

" Mommy what was he like?"

" Well kinda like you."

" Huh?"

" You both look alike the eyes, hair, nose your both really curious, impulsive, but the greatest thing is you impassion for others." She smiled.

" What does compassion mean?"

" Well sweetheart it means you care a lot about other people."

"It's time to go to bed now good night."

" Can you stay with me till I fall asleep."

"Yes maddy."

She crawled Into the tiny twin bed and Maddy snuggled up against her mother

" I love you Madeline."

" love you too mommy."
