As we arrived into the playground, June run to Newton hugging him. This was insanely cute, they looked like younger us and it was like they were showing us we could—somehow, come back.

I walked towards Tommy who greeted me awkwardly.

"Hello" he simply said.
"Hello, Tom" I said.

I tried not to put every little emotion I was feeling by saying his name.

"Shall we?" He proposed glancing at the bench near us.
"Of course" We sat down without looking nothing but our children playing happily together. Both of us didn't say anything.

Oh kiss me already.

"So, they are so cute. Newt has been asking me all day when we were going to come down here" He finally said smiling.

"June did the same. She couldn't wait, I guess." I smiled, too.

But my smile soon disappeared at the thought of him with his wife. And the fact that I kept on feeling a dirty woman who was trying to steal others women's man. I could not do this.
We could have been friends, we could do that.
I turned to glare at him and—oh my god, he was so genuinely handsome. His blonde hair were not too long, not too short and they were shining under the sun light. His deep dark eyes were like magnets attracting me. His Adam's apple. I had to look away quickly.  Somehow he was more handsome than how I remembered him.

"..May? Are you alright?" He asked me with a frown on his face.

"Yes, I am good. Don't worry" I just want to feel yours arms around me right now. I fake smiled him.

"Are you sure? If I remember good that looks like a fake smile to me."

Fuck. When he couldn't get hotter, he recognized my fake smile.

I shaked my head quickly. " I am alright, I promise." I smiled—a true, genuine smile.

"So was it a good anniversary? Where did you have dinner?" He asked with a smile on his lips.

Let's see. I have told my husband I was on my period because every time he tried to touch me I felt dirty but felt even dirtier when I touched myself thinking of you. What a wonderful anniversary.

"Yes, it was good. We stayed at home, we spent time with June. She's our best treasure" I glanced at him smiling sincerely. "How is... mh, well your wife?"

"Isabella. Well, she's fine I guess."

"You guess?" I chuckled. "Don't you live together or something?" I was being sarcastic once again. He looked at me and with a weird expression finally spook.

"Well, actually no. I came back to my house, we just didn't get along." He touched the back of his neck looking at our children that were now holding hands. I could not look at him, I felt something weird but I had to say something.

"What? Why?" I asked concerned.

"She cheated on me some time ago. I tried to forget it for Newt but I just couldn't.. I could not look at her without seeing another man touching her, you know." I nodded.

"Thomas" He looked at me. "You didn't break up with your wife, with the mother of your son because of.. me, right?" Words came out like a river flowing. I could not stop them.

"What? May she really cheated on me. And besides, the fact that she's the mother of my son wont stop me from being happy. Will it?" He asked with his classic frown.

"W-what do you mean?"

"People get married, have children and break up a lot of times. It doesn't mean that those choices are final. Everyone deserves happiness, don't you think?"

"Something is telling me you are not talking just about yourself" I looked ahead. He slowly touched my hand that was on the bench, so that I immediately looked at him that whispered.

"Maybe. May, are you happy?"

"What?" I scoffed. "Thomas you-"

"It's a simple question. Yes or no?"

"Listen to me. I am not like you. I love James and we both love June."

"I don't love Isa, not anymore. But we both love Newt still." He said firmly and he was so right.

"This is ridiculous." I stood up and before walking towards my daughter I looked up at Thomas. "It's too late, Tommy. Let things be the way they are meant to be, please." I plead him.

"It's never too late to be happy"
He walked towards Newton and didn't say anything else. I didn't know if I was disappointed or happy about this.

The children greeted themselves.
"So when are we going to see each other again?" Newt asked.
"I don't know big boy. We should ask May." Thomas looked at me and his stare was burning up on me.
"Soon." I finally said looking Newton and June.
