She didn't sleep in her bed that night, well she didn't sleep at all to tell the truth. She passed almost all the night thinking over and over and turning onto the couch. She knew she could not continue like this and that's why she would have done what she had to do a lot earlier. An hand slowly touched her shoulder, waking her up.

"Why haven't you slept in bed?" James had a frown on his face. "When will you tell me what's wrong? How many time will pass till you will let me touch you? I am your husband May, you must explain things to me."

His words broke him up as a a glass falling to the ground. He really loved his wife but he knew she didn't feel the same since a lot of time. May got up from the sofa and looked at him straight into the eyes. She started to speak careful not to wake their child up.

"I have loved you James, a lot. You are the father of my daughter and I will never be grateful enough for what you did to us but" she glanced down at her feet and tears escaped her eyes. She had to be strong, she thought. "I feel trapped James, I cannot help it. I feel like a stranger and you don't deserve this but I don't either. I deserve to be happy and sadly, you can't make me happy. Not anymore." She looked up at him and found him recollected, extremely calm. He spoke up passing an hand through his hair.

"I knew something was up, but I didn't imagine you weren't happy with me."

"I am sorry. I have tried." She wiped her tears.

"What do I have to say now? It's fine. I will leave in the morning. I must leave. I can't stay here." He said pinching the bridge of your nose.

"What? No! You can't just leave, you have a daughter James. We have a daughter and she comes first. Remember?" May was frowning.

"It's just for a while. She'll be fine." He said without even glancing at her. May got closer to him quickly and slapped him into the face. She felt so disappointed. Then she added.

"You are just an immature kid. She is not a videogame she can't be paused and you know that! Do whatever you want to hurt me if you want but don't hurt June. You-"

"Don't tell me what to do! I won't leave the country, I won't ever leave my daughter with you and with that posh-blonde-brit!" He screamed.

Jealousy could be smelled from kilometers.

"Thomas has nothing to do with this." She looked at him.

"Oh no? Well then who were you taking with the night before our anniversary? Do you really think I believed that shit about your mother? Do you think I am stupid and I don't know you left tonight ? I bet you went with him, it's always been about him since that stupid party. Isn't it?"

James hissed and May glanced down. She didn't say a word even though she wanted to scream. She just felt numb once again. He slammed the door and she didn't hear of him for the rest of the day.May had to talk with June. She had to explain to her why her mother was feeling always so sad and she had to do it soon.

"Mom? Where's dad?" June looked at her mother standing next to the door.

"Baby, what about an hot chocolate? We have to talk." And with these words June got closer to her mother, sat down next to her and they hugged tightly. The truth had to be exposed.
