"Dad are you ok?"
"Yes Newt I am fine, I am just tired. I haven't slept so much tonight." I said with a frown passing an hand through my untamed blonde hair. "What's up with you?"
"I wish we could go to play with June today, dad." Newton's eyes met mine so I sighed. I had to lie to my boy.
"Her mom's busy love, I promise we will see them soon." I touched his hair. "Now get ready, your mom will be here any minute by now." I smiled to him sipping on my coffee.
"Dad, I need to say something. We tell every thing to each other right?" The little boy looked up at me.
"Sure we do. Is there something you want to tell me?" I sit down on the couch and looked at him.
"Actually I thought you were going to tell me you feel something for May." He had a grin on his face. How could he know that? He was just seven. What could he even know about love?
"Me? Oh- what a stupid idea, of course I don't. She's a friend, that's all." I stuttered once or twice and my son looked at me once again.
"Dad I saw how you touched her hand at the park. It's fine, I mean if she makes you happy I am happy with this. Also, she's the mother of my pure heaven so she probably is an angel herself, too. Isn't she?"

"Newton you have to understand that adulthood complicate things. We are not children and even though me and your mom broke up, May is married, still."
"So you are letting her go? You are leaving her with that man?"
"That man is her husband, Newton." I frowned and so did he.
"Dad I am naturally concerned for June. She said her mother is always sad, she said she's worried. An husband—a good one, should treat a woman as a princess, just like you did with mom. If she's sad probably he doesn't treat her right, now does he?"
I frowned even more burying my face into my hands then touched my lips with my index finger and lastly my hands passed through my hair.
My son had a point.
