May's POV
June was touching my hair when I was drinking some hot chocolate.
"Princess do you know that me and your dad really love you, right? No matter what."She simply nodded while she was looking at me. She didn't really feel confused and this confused me, even more.
"Well me and your dad.."
"You are not together anymore? Like you are going to live in a separate house?"My precious princess was so genuinely smart so that I could not say anything but nod.
"Mom, can I ask you something?"
"Sure love, tell me."
"Are you happy?"I looked at her and tried to fight the tears from falling. She asked me the same question Thomas did and it made me think over and over.
"Mom why are you crying?" She came closer to me.
"I am not crying, baby. I am fine." I smiled to her. I had to be strong.
"I want you to know something mommy. I don't care who are you happy with, I just want to see you smile more often because you are beautiful." June touched some locks of my hair.
"What do you mean by 'who', baby I-"
"Me and Newt saw how you and his dad smiled to each other." I tried not to blush. "You give Tommy the same look I give to Newt. We are so alike mommy." She genuinely smiled."Do you really like that little blondie, don't you?" I tickled her softly.
"Yes mom and here's my idea. Why don't you go and live with Thomas if he makes you happy?" She excitedly asked me."Baby it's not this simple. Adults are complicated, I swear." I wish I could go and live with the man I was in love with but we simply couldn't. Now, could we?
She looked at me again, smiling and gave me the strength to do something I would never have done before.
"If something makes you happy you should go for it."
I hugged her tightly.
"Why do you have to be so wise you little princess?"
