Hazel's POV

When I saw Percy's and Annabeth's loving display, I was almost as shocked as Piper. I was tired of seeing them deny their true feelings. Every single person saw they were perfect together, but they always denied it. The only three people who didn't see it was Annabeth, Percy, and Luke. Everyone kept apologizing to Luke, saying how sorry they are, or how things happen for a reason. The thing that shocked me was that Luke was never upset. He smiled strangely, as if he knew something that no one else knew. It bothered me. Luke was known for being overprotective of Annabeth, and everyone knew he loved her since he first met her. A few people thought that Luke and Annabeth were secretly dating so he wasn't upset, but we all knew she'd never do that to Percy. During lunch, Frank and I noticed how Percy and Annabeth sat alone, and they were always deep in conversation. Every once in a while, Luke and Thalia would come by and sit with them. No one else did, because Percy and Annabeth's affection always made them uncomfortable. The strangest thing was that Annabeth and Percy never kissed on the lips, at most, it was a kiss on the cheek. It bothered me, but I decided not to dwell on it. They were happy, maybe they just weren't ready to kiss like that yet. I should talk to Frank about it.

"Miss Levesque, shall I repeat the question?" Mr. K asked. I shot my head up and stopped thinking about my two friends. I immediately blushed.

"Sorry sir. I was just thinking if I locked the door to my house when I left." I lied.

"Detention, Miss Levesque. I will not tolerate this behavior. You are in advanced placement for earth science (because she has the power to get gems and jewels from the earth... get it? 😂) and you should be paying attention." Mr. K said. I groaned and slammed my head on the desk. What was the point of detention?

"Now then, if I may continue my lesson,....." Mr. K began. I once again zoned out, this time thinking about my boyfriend, who was sitting across the classroom. I always smiled thinking about him. He was so sweet, and tall. Frank also could imitate anything, he basically could be anything he wanted to be (Son of Neptune reference.....). I still couldn't believe how lucky I was to be with this amazing guy. I started taking some of the notes from the board. I answered the questions I knew, mostly about gems and minerals, or about underground tunnels. When class ended, I was given my detention slip. I waited by the door for Frank, and walked with him to our lockers.

"Isn't it weird, Frank?" I asked.

"What do you mean, Hazel?" he replied.

"Annabeth and Percy. They don't kiss." I replied.

"How long have they been dating, a month? Give them time. It's never good to rush a relationship." he reasoned. I leaned my head on his shoulder and smiled. Sometimes I forgot how smart Frank was.

I AM SO FREAKING SORRY ALL MY WONDERFUL READERS! School is basically hell. 😂 Plus I had a stomach virus for the last week. 😕 It was horrible.
