I Love My Best Friend

Percy's POV
I stopped gazing into Annabeth's gorgeous eyes once I processed what she had just said. Luke would be a problem, a huge one. Then again, what kind of a problem would he be if he didn't know what was truly going on.
"Annabeth, maybe we just shouldn't tell him." I said.
"Percy, he's been there for me since the beginning. He deserves more respect than that. I think we should tell him." Annabeth replied.
"He will be angry though. He's never been angry with you, so you don't know what he's capable of." I pointed out.
"He's my friend, and he wouldn't hurt me. We'll tell him together, okay?" She replied. I nodded. We walked out of the nurse's office hand in hand.
"Annie, you're honestly lucky that I'm such a good boyfriend." I cheekily told her. All she did was laugh. Hey, at least it's better than her hitting my arm, even though she always does it "playfully". We were walking towards the doors of the school, so I could take her home, when we ran into Annabeth's friend, Alexis. The two could have been mistaken for sisters. They had the same colour eyes and hair. They are both geniuses, and behave as little Einsteins. However, when I see the two together, all I feel is love for Annabeth, and a desire to be friends with Alexis.
"Hey, Annabeth! I heard you were at the nurse. I was so worried! Are you okay? What happened?" Alexis said, already bombarding Annabeth with questions out of concern.
"I'm fine, Alex. I just fell. Something shocked me, but its all okay now." Annabeth replied and smiled. I smiled as well, her smile alone making me happy. I kissed her cheek and she blushed.
"Thank God! Oh and Percy, Mrs. Combian was angry about your absence in her class. You might get detention, so good luck!" Alexis replied. She turned to hug Annabeth and then ran off to the lockers.
I cheekily held out my arm and said, "Shall we go to your home, darling?" She smiled and took my hand.
"Yes, sweetheart." she replied. We left through the doors, and I dreaded when Annabeth and I would make our relationship "official" with Luke.
Annabeth's POV
Percy walked home with me. I leaned my head on his shoulder and sighed with content. This, I now realize, is what I have been missing throughout my life. This is what I was missing with Luke. Oh, Luke. I dreaded his response to my new relationship with Percy. Percy's words had brought new fear apparent to me. What if Luke hurts me? What if Luke hurts Percy? What if Luke hurts my family? I wouldn't know how to cope. We continue to walk, and as we approached closer to my house, I saw a figure by the gates. I turned to look at Percy and saw a look of confusion on his face. We began running. As we were nearing, I noticed that it was definitely a male. When I realized who it was, I closed my eyes and swallowed hard. Luke was at my house, waiting for me. Oh God, this was going to be bad.

Hi. Sorry, do you hate me? I had a lot of tests for high schools recently and I've been using all my energy for that. I'm nearly finished, but not entirely, so I apologize if I begin to write less. However, by the end of this month, everything will be back to a normal once a week pace. (My tests end at the end of the month. 😊) Oh and I'm going to join a gym with my friend because I want muscles, so I might be too tired to write sometimes, but I'll use all my energy to write these stories because you've gotten me so many reads, it's not even funny.
