The world tilts to the left,
A little to the right, any one
Side in particular, and you
Wonder- fear- what would happen
When it does a cartwheel?
You're so in love- peace- with the colours
Of the walls, dark orange and lime green
Sky blue and turquoise
You know the walls inside out,
Their layout is baked in memory,
The cheap glow-in-the-dark stickers
Are at a happy distance, you remember
Their position vectors, they will tell you they are there
Even after they have stopped glowing 5 years ago
As if they licked their last lights
And have been hiding them under their tongues
Just for you.
You will stand in the darkness,
Teeth together sclera, iris a hole of universe,
lips like eyelids come down,
And from the face in the mouth
Not-you can hear from depths
A heart wagging its tongue.
