After several hours of flying, I landed on the Edge, our old base camp. I morphed back into my "normal" self and let the tears I was holding back throughout the entire flight, fall down on my cheeks. I fell to my knees as tears streamed down my face while the rain poured down on me. "AHHHHHHH!!!!!" I couldn't help but scream out in pain and misery. I started to hiccup in between sobs. "I'm sorry dad! I'm sorry mom! I'm so so sorry!" I cried out, "what have I done? What have I done?" I couldn't help but feel even more ashamed of myself and of my mistakes. I walk over to the main hut and sat near the furnace. I cross my arms over my face and lean it against the table. I cried for the rest of the day in my arms.
I feel like I betrayed my own family, and I think... I DID betray them.
