Elisia's POV
I was so nervous. Wednesday rolled had finally around, and I was trying to get ready for my date with Ash. The problem was that I didn't know where we were going.
"Liana! Help!" I yelled out to her. She came running into my room.
"What?! What's wrong, did something happen?!" She panicked. I laughed and shook my head.
"I'm having a midlife crisis! I don't know what to wear!" She instantly glared at me before grabbing a pillow off my bed and repeatedly hitting me with it.
"You snuffaluffagus! You had me thinking you were dying or something!"
"Whoops?" I replied with a guilty/cheeky smile, shrugging my shoulders. Liana lightly laughed.
"You're lucky I love you. I am now your official fairy godmother, here to save the day."
She turned and walked towards my closet then stopped in her tracks.
"Why did I even think of looking through your closet? I know you, and you don't own any nice or semi-nice clothes." I laughed lightly and nodded in agreement.
Lia grabbed my hand and dragged me towards her room. She opened her closet and searched a bit. She pulled out a lacy kind of reddish brown dress and held it out towards me. I immediately pushed it back at her.
"I refuse to wear a dress. Besides, he told me to dress casually." I stated matter-of-factly. Lia sighed.
"Work with me girl!" She exclaimed. I just shook my head at her. Lia laughed and went back to her closet. She pulled out two different items this time, one was a velvet purple top, that showed the shoulders and hugged them thanks to an elastic band. The sleeves opened out, as well as the bottom, reminding me of a hippy style shirt. Then she pulled out a basic pair of dark jeans with holes in the knees. It was closer to what I wanted so I tried it on but Lia and I both agreed that it wasn't me.
The next outfit Lia pulled out was really cute. It was a white shirt that was loose with a light olive green, denim jacket and faded black ankle cut-off jeans. I loved it. I put the outfit on and Liana immediately started nodding her head excitedly.
"Yes! That is the outfit." She exclaimed in a horrible french accent.
"Alright, then it's set! I just have to braid my hair and then I'll be ready to go." I laughed and sat down, starting to braid my hair into two side braids. Once I was finished, I grabbed my bag and just as I heard the doorbell ring, I took one last look in the mirror and hugged Liana before rushing to the door.
I opened the door and there stood Ashton clad in a Guns N' Roses t shirt with a suit jacket. He smiled and held his arms open for a hug. I gave a knowing smile and gladly accepted the hug.
"Hey." I spoke quietly. I don't know what it was, but in that moment, I felt strangely comfortable yet awkward and shy. I guess it dawned on me that I really liked Ashton. He replied with a chuckled hi.
"You ready to go?" He asked as he stepped back, lazily leaning against the door frame, hands in his pants pockets. I smirked as a thought popped into my head.
"Depends. Where are we going?" He frowned slightly at the question.
"Well I planned to say it was a surprise if you asked, but I have a strange feeling if I do, you'll bug me until I tell you. I don't think I could handle that because I'd probably start to get annoyed, and end up snapping. I don't want that." He rambled nervously.
I nodded, a small grin forming on my face.
"So are you going to tell me?" I questioned in a confused but amused tone.
"Right! Yes, uh we...are...going to the pier." He said the last part slowly.
I nodded with a small smile, "Okay, sounds nice." I walked out the door and towards his car. He quickly followed behind rushing to open the door for me. He bowed as he did so and spoke.
"M'lady." I laughed and told him to stop being so cheesy. We both climbed into the car and started driving to our destination. When we finally got there I noticed that we were at a beach, but there was no pier. We stepped out of the car and I looked at him, confusion evident on my face. What is going on in that man's head? He opened one of the backseat doors and pulled out a blanket and a picnic basket.
"Wait, we're having a picnic?" I asked. Ashton just smiled and started walking down to the sand to set up the picnic. Ashton looked a little nervous but as he noticed me smiling, watching him spread out the blanket, I noticed that nervousness wash away. He sat down and patted the spot beside him.
"Sit." He spoke, almost as if it were an order and so I complied. Ashton started to open the basket and I waited anxiously, wondering what he packed. I watched as Ashton started to pull something out, and it looked like a box. He took it out and and chuckled. I looked at it and saw something I never expected.
"A pizza?" I questioned, slightly mind boggled. Ashton nodded happily, grabbing the drinks.
"And juice boxes. The perfect mix right?" He gestured with the juice boxes in his hands and I laughed.
"Yeah it is," I grabbed an iced tea, "cheers." We clinked our juice boxes together before taking a sip and grabbing a slice of pizza each. I was really happy at that exact moment, I felt happy, giddy, nervous and serene all at the same time. It definitely wasn't the most ideal date, but I was loving it. It was fun and the person with me made it even better
It's hard for me to believe that I used to think that Ashton hated me. Turns out he just didn't know how to act normal around me.
"So, I have a question," Ashton started and I nodded my head for him to continue. "Vampires or werewolves? And answer carefully, this is a serious question." I immediately clasped my hands over my mouth to stop myself from laughing, though it didn't help. I honestly have no idea why people do that when it doesn't actually work. I took a second to think about it, even though I knew the answer. I had a feeling that he was pro-vampire, which could turn out to be a major problem. If he can't accept that then who knows how this would turn out.
I answered Ashton telling him that I preferred werewolves. Not only are wolves beautiful and loyal creatures, they are elegant and mysterious. They may be dangerous in a way but they are awesome. Besides werewolves don't drink blood. He shook his head and let out a small laugh. Ashton turned to me and took my hands in his, the moonlight shining down on him, making his eyes sparkle. His face suddenly turned serious, and my heart stopped. I really hoped that he wasn't about to drop a huge bombshell on me.
"Elle, this is very important for me to tell you," Ash began to say. "I am pro vampire." He finished off and I instantly let out a breath I didn't know I was holding. I swear I thought he was going to tell me he had cancer or something.
"Oh, is that all?" I asked with a goofy grin.
"Yes, pretty sure." he laughed and I joined in with the laughter.
"Alright, well I have something to tell you too. I really like you, and I hope we can go on a second date." I told him, my voice almost a whisper. He smiled at me and leaned close to my ear and whispered his reply back to me.
