Chapter 13

Liana’s POV

   I woke up the next morning, feeling groggy as all hell,  but typically the pain in my stomach motivated me to head downstairs for food before I accidentally fall back asleep. I walked down the stairs with my phone in my hand, with my eyes closed for most of the journey. I got to the last step and wobbled for a minute in place.
   I shook my body to wake me up a bit, and it worked because I was able to keep my eyes open. I looked at the couch where I had seen a curly haired silhouette. Ashton had his head back, leaned against the back of the couch, with his mouth slightly open, while a sleeping Elisia was laid down with her head rested in his lap.
   I made a gushy face, excited to see such a cute scene before me. I took a picture with my phone, before realizing that Elisa’s face seemed tear stained. I decided to wake her up, without waking Ashton too. I poked Ellie’s face a few times, while whispering her name. Her eyes fluttered open and squinted at me.
   “Liana?”
   I gestured her to follow me upstairs, so we could talk in private so as to not wake anyone.
   I sat her on my bed and waited for her to wake up and open up.
    “Okay so when I went on the date with Danni. He was super cool and cute and sweet at first. We went to a diner, then he drove us to that random cabin that is somewhat near Rainbow Falls-” I nodded my head, knowing where she was talking about. “Well, then he went in for a kiss, which was shocking but then he was starting to half-straddle me and obviously push for something else…”
    “Sex,” I clarified for myself. Ellie nodded her head.
    “Obviously that wasn’t going to happen, and in my moment of panic, I kneed him in the balls,” I started laughing and I was honestly so proud of her, so I high fived her before she continued.
   “He got pissed off, told me that he was just trying to get laid because him and his friends at work had a bet on who could get a girl to go all the way fastest and whoever won would get $50 from each person. Pretty much, he’s an asshole, and not even close to who he used to be in high school. Somehow he went from nerd to a super loser,” Ellie rolled her eyes.
   “So how did all of that lead to cuddling on the couch with Ashton?” I asked, already knowing the answer, but wanting her to tell me so I could see and figure out her feelings on the situation.
    “Well, Danni got pissed off that he got rejected and left me stranded at the cabin. So I called everyone in the squad and no one answered. I called Ashton last because, you know how he’s been acting kind of weird? Yeah well I didn’t want to call him at first, but he ended up being the only one awake, so he came and got me. Then when we got back, he put a blanket around me and we fell asleep,” Ellie shrugged, trying to mask her feelings, but her cheeks were red which told me that she did have feelings for Ashton after all.
   “Well, I am sorry Danni turned out to be a shit head, but it sounds like you’re pretty okay. He didn’t hit you or anything right?” I asked, giving her a hug.
    “No he didn’t lay a hand on me after I kneed him,” Elisia giggled.
    “Okay good. Are you hungry?” I asked, realizing that I hadn’t eaten.
    “Of course,” Lisi laughed and I joined her knowing it was silly question.
    My sister and I headed down stairs and made our way to the kitchen to start making some food. We walked in to see that Ashton was in there making coffee while talking to Luke. Apparently Calum and Michael were still sleeping. I walked up behind Luke, just to give him a hug, but he twisted himself to give me a long passionate kiss. I heard Lisi say under her breath, “Well this is awkward…” and two sets of footsteps exit the kitchen.
   Luke chuckled against my lips before pulling away, “Now that they’re gone, you want to go on a small date with me?”
    “How well dressed do I have to get?” I smirked, not giving him an answer.
    Luke rolled his eyes playfully, “You can wear sweats for all I care! But it’s just a movie and McDonalds.” This honestly sounded like the perfect evening so I grinned up at him, giving him my answer, and another kiss before starting to make food.

Elisia’s POV

    Luana started kissing so it got kind of awkward for me. Ashton looked awkward too and he walked towards me before gently pulling me out of the kitchen and into the living room.
    “Well that was awkward.” He said, scratching the back of his neck. I nodded and lightly chuckled.
    “So are you okay?” Ash asked quietly and I sighed.
    “Yeah. I’m more disappointed than anything else. It’s not like I liked him and wanted to date him though. I agreed because I wanted to catch up with an old friend. I thought he was better than that.” Ashton looked at me, giving me a small smile.
    “That's good....Hey, I'm sorry for being distant and acting weirdly before. I guess you could say I was jealous.” I looked at him incredulously.
    “Jealous? Of what? Danni?” I asked, utterly confused. He gave me a funny smile and hugged me and rested his head on mine.
    “Yes of Danni. I didn't like that you were going on a date with someone that wasn’t me.” He mumbled into my ear. I pulled away from the hug and he smiled, which just made me smile back.
    “Will you go on a date with me on Wednesday?” Asked giving me a hopeful look.
    “I’d love to.” I smiled hugging him again, burying my face in the crook of his neck.

Liana’s POV
    It was later that night and I was getting ready for the movies with Luke. I love how simple the date was, because personally I wasn’t one to get myself dolled up for an expensive meal around a bunch of people who think they’re better than others. So McDonalds is perfect. Not one there gives a shit about anything other than some chicken nuggets. Elisia had done my hair, while I sat as still as I could.
    “Are you excited?” Lisi gushed. I chuckled, feeling nervous.
    “Well of course! It’s all still so wild, the fact that any of this has happened. Like to have started a successful YouTube channel with my half-sister with absolutely no way to take one video of both of us, but instead having to sync videos with each other, a sister from a different country, who I never thought I would actually be able to meet with at such a young age; to have finally gotten to meet on the same day that we had a major interview; to have the opportunity to sing in front of thousands of people; to have befriended 5 Seconds of Summer, and for me to be dating my celebrity crush…” I stared at the wall, amazed by what Elisia and I had accomplished.
    “Well when you say it like that,” Elisa started, “it is pretty freaky. Life’s pretty weird itself though, so I guess we keep moving forward no matter how scared or confused we are by the new reality… Anyway, you need to get dressed.”
I groaned before laughing, heading into my closet for a pair of skinny jeans, a sasquatch t-shirt, a cardigan, and a pair of converse. Nothing overly nice but I thought I looked decent for once. Luke was waiting downstairs, having already gotten dressed at his and showed back up to wait for me. Once I was ready, I gave Lisi hug and ran down the steps, telling Luke that I was ready whenever he wanted to go.

    The next week was a busy one for me and Elisa since we had to do some recording for our song “Independent”, for the next two days, getting all the vocal tracks and instrumental tracks down and approved. That was Monday and Tuesday, luckily for Ellie we didn't have anything for Wednesday, so she could have her date with Ashton. I was surprised he had actually asked her so soon, I thought he was going to chicken out for at least another week or two. I was so happy for the two of them, and I couldn’t wait to hear all of the details from Lisi. While she was out with Ashton, Calum and Michael were out at some party, and I was at home with Luke.
    We made a fort with pillows, couch cushions, and sheets, since I was feeling pretty depressed lately. I was missing my mom, dog, and two guinea pigs and couldn’t wait until I could see them again. With my mom at least I could call her every few days, but with my dog and pigs I couldn’t. Luke was understanding of me not being overly talkative like I am 85% of the time. I just hugged into his side while he played on my PS4.
