The next morning when Jamie and Crona got ready for class they walked to school together only to see Kid still sitting outside working on the crater.

"Kid, did you work all night on this!?" Jamie asked as he walked over. He only knew Kid's name because of his meeting with Lord Death on his first day.

"I have to make everything perfectly symmetrical all over again," He said, grabbing brick after brick and putting it down, making sure to use the exact same amount of cement between each brick. He was so meticulous.

Jamie walked inside the building, winking at Crona before going in. He kind of figured by the way Kid was blushing that he had a thing for Crona, and it was obvious that Crona liked him back. Jamie was happy that his new friend was happy and was with his crush.

When Jamie walked down the halls, he noticed something looked different. The door to Stein's room was open, but when he peeked inside, his students were gone.

"Professor Stein? Where's the class?" Jamie asked, a bit concerned that he was in the wrong place.

"I've sent the class to work with Sid for the day," Stein said, not even looking up.

"I guess I should be going to meet Sid and the others then," Jamie said but as soon as he turned to leave the classroom Stein rolled over in his chair and grabbed his arm gently, using his foot to shut the door. "P-Professor Stein, why...?"

"I wanted to see you in my office...alone," Stein said with that crooked smile that Jamie loved so much. "Is that alright with you, or would you like to go on with the others? It's up to you."

"I...I-I'll stay," Jamie said, following Stein into his office.

As soon as the two were in the office, Stein closed and locked the door. He stood from his chair and finally pushed that old rickety thing to the side. Stein walked over to Jamie, walking closer and closer and pushed the boy against the wall.Jamie felt his heart beating into his throat as the older man came closer to him. "Are you alright Jamie?" Stein asked as he slipped his shirt about half way off, then stopped and looked in his eyes. "I don't want to push you."

"I-I'm fine...Keep going," Jamie said. He wasn't sure why he was so positive that this was a good idea, but something within him told him not to say no.

Stein slid his shirt on up and off over his head, then slid his hand down his chest. He seemed to be examining every inch of the younger man's body as if he was fascinated by it. Tracing his lips along Jamie's collar bone, he trailed down to the boy's nipples and licked them slowly.

A few more minutes passed, and Jamie decided while he waited he would sit in Stein's chair and see why he loved it so much. He sat in it the way Stein did and rolled around a bit. Realizing it was pretty fun, he started spinning around in his boredom. When he heard Stein coming back, he rolled the chair back to his desk and stood up. He fixed his hair nervously and smiled when he saw the man enter the room again.

Stein had a smile on his face, a loving one, but still a bit crooked. He held Jamie close, kissing him passionately and then nuzzling his neck. Jamie shyly nuzzled him back, slipping his fingers into his hair and holding his new lover close.

"I don't want this to end..." Jamie said as he looked into those steel grey eyes he loved so much, and they stared back at him with the same intensity.

"I don't either," Stein said and those words filled Jamie's heart with hope. "But I do believe you should go home for now..."

Jamie was shocked and looked up at Stein with sadness in his eyes. "I-I don't want to go!"

"Shhh..." Stein said, caressing his cheek gently. "I just mean for tonight. Your roommate will be wondering where you are, and we don't want people to get suspicious now do we..? If people find out we can't be together."

Jamie nodded, all of it began to make sense. "When can we get together like this again?"

"Tomorrow. Same time after class, but the class will be in my room again. Hang back, pack your backpack slower and be the last one left. Everyone will assume you're leaving, but you'll slip back into my office with me," Stein said, holding him in his arms. "I'll miss you so much."

"I'll miss you too," Jamie said, kissing his lover one last time before reluctantly parting. He grabbed his backpack and flung it on his back and walked out, looking back hoping for one more smile from him before he left. Stein smiled that crooked smile he loved so much, then Jamie left.
