Just turned 16
Stares at boys who wear glasses
In look magazines
You sat in the school library, silently reading a magazine and waiting for the school bell to ring. You had dance practice after school and you were more than excited. You looked at all the cute boys (or girls!) in the magazine, sighing. Little did you notice the girl walking over to you.
Here comes Tommy
With glasses and all
Flowers in hand and ambitious plans
It's not hard to fall
Feeling a tap on your shoulder, you look up to see Susie, the school bully, holding flowers. You tilted your head, confused. "U-Uh....(Y/N)...These are for you." She said, handing, or more like pushing, the flowers into your arms. You blushed. "Oh..um..thank you, Susie!" You said, smiling. As she walked away, you swore you could see a faint blush on her face.
[Timeskip]

It was two weeks later now, Susie had finally worked up enough courage to ask you out officially (with the help of Kris). You two would spend most of the day together, you even got to know Kris a little better. The two of you were basically inseperable. Even though Susie didn't like to show affection in public, she'd be the sweetest person when you were alone (hard to believe tbh-).
[Timeskip a couple more weeks]
(Back to normal i guess?)
Things get a bit louder
Tommy's focused on plans
His smile's replaced with an aggressive face
But she'll still hold his hand
You and Susie walked through the hallway to lunch, You held her hand, but she didnt seem to be really acknowledging your existence. "Susie?" You asked quietly. Her temper had gotten worse, you had noticed. So, you tried to speak softer, as to not agrivate her. "What." She replied. You sighed. "I- Uh...i have dance practice after school today...so i can't hang out...i'm sorry.."
Now she's given up dancing
Tommy says she's too old
He says, "Focus on me," but she disagreed
Now she does as she's told
Susie growled. "Don't go. You're too old for that shit anyway. Just focus on me! I'm your girlfriend and thats more important than some stupid dance class!" She said, basically yelling. Your eyes filled with tears, you wanted to say no so badly, she had changed so much..but you just nodded in responce.

As the two of you sat at your normal lunch table, Susie talked with Kris, while you stayed silent, unknowing to you though, there was someone watching you with sad eyes. She liked you too, and it hurt to see how Susie acted. Who was this you may ask? Well, it was none other than, Noelle.
[Timeskip to after school]
Back to the studio
Where she was told not to go
Feeling sick with guilt, the tension builds
As she opens the door
You walked down the street to the dance studio, you gulped as you neared it, you were told not to return here. As you walked up to the door, you tensed up. This felt wrong. You pushed past the guilt and pushed open the glass door.
And what else would be there
But a trusting pair
Of strong bodies, lacking in worries
Performing a pas de deux
You smiled at what you saw inside the building, a pair of kids, probably from the older kids class before you, performing a pas de deux. You smiled even more at how happy they'd looked. Oh how you wished Susie would be willing to do something likr that with you, but of course, she was the one who told you to stay away from here in the first place. You heard the bell of the door being opened from behind you, turning around, you saw Noelle. She was in your dance class (just go with it!!) But you'd only talked a little. You decide to talk to her about Susie, as she was Susies friend, sort of.

While you talked to Noelle, she would show that she was listening by gasping or nodding at things you'd say. "Well, (Y/N), i just don't think this is good. You should tell her that you can't do this anymore, and leave." Noelle said. You looked at the ground, feeling guilty. "But...Noelle..." You said softly. She just hugged you in response. "C'mon, i'll come with you if it makes you feel better." You nodded, and you both decide to just skip dance class and do it now. So thats what you did.

"I'm breaking up with you." You said. Susie seemed suprised for a second before she glared at you. "So now you're too good for me, huh?" She mumbled. You stared at the ground, you didn't want to see her right now. "Fine." She said, Slamming the door in your face. Noelle walked to your side, holding your hand. "It'll be okay, (Y/N)." She said reassuringly.
[Timeskip a couple weeks AGAIN-]
So goodbye to Tommy
And hello to Sam
He doesn't wear glasses, but he loves how she dances
And he'll hold her hand
It was now a few weeks later, Susie had been ignoring you, but now you had someone better, Noelle. Noelle confessed her feelings about you 3 weeks after your breakup with Susie. You told her you returned the feelings and now you two were a pair. You currently sat on a bench in the hallway after school, holding hands. Dance class was a bit later today, so the two of you decided to wait at the school, to walk together.

With plans of her own
You'll see her and partner performing a pas de deux
In the old studio
In dance class, the two of you worked on perfecting a pas de deux together, just like you had hoped for, but now even better. You two had plans to go to college together if everything worked out, to get married someday. Yes, things were much better than you had hoped.

The two of you danced and danced until it was dark outside. You two were happy together. It didn't matter how late it was. It was around 10:00 when you finished. You got out of your dance clothes and got dressed. Smiling at eachother while packing up.

As the two of you walked home, holding hands, you chatted quietly. You thought, you never felt this way with Susie. You were happy with any time you got to spend with Noelle, and that was enough. For the both of you.
