(Also! This one has an actual plot to it!! Its based off the song at the top! Its gonna be a bit angsty just a fair warning...don't worry im adding fluff at the end!!)
You like the king. It was very obvious, especially to him. But you knew very well he didn't like you back. Why you may ask? Well, you were a lightener. So, automatic hatred from him. You didnt exactly mind that much, but when it did matter, was when he'd point out that he hated you. Anyway, you were wandering the the empty "streets" if thats what you'd call them, When you saw king's son, lancer. Lancer was a good kid in your eyes. You waved at him, and he ran up to you. "Hey (Y/N)!!!" He semi-yelled, smiling as usual. "Hi Lance, what'cha up to?" You asked. "Oh! I was just going to get something for my dad!" He said, still smiling. Your heart skipped a beat. "Mind...if i join you?" You asked nervously. He looked just as nervous as you, he hesitated. "U-Um...my dad doesnt like you very much." He replied. You nodded. "I know...but...maybe just this once?" You sighed. "Mmmm...okay! Only once!" He nodded, smiling again. You mentally said a 'yes!'
[Timeskip after you do whatever and you get to card castle cause i'm lazyyyyy!!]
"Dont you think you...shouldnt go inside?" Lancer questioned. You thought about it for a second, 'how would king feel? Knowing someone he despises is hanging out with his son?' You shook off the thought. "It'll be fine, Lance!" You smiled, reassuring him. He sighed and nodded, walking inside with you following him.
[Timeskip AGAIN to the king because i hate myself!!!]
When the two of you reached Lancer's father, Lancer walked in first, telling you to wait outside for a while. You agreed, just so you wouldnt upset Lancer. Lancer eventually told you to come in, which you did. Lets just say...King wasn't ecstatic that you were there. "Lancer. Why have you brought this lightener into the castle? Again?" King's voice had pure rage in it. Lancer stepped back a bit. "It was my idea. Don't hurt him." You said, trying to sound confident. King laughed. "Of course it was." He pushed Lancer out of the way, stepping closer to you. Everytime he'd step closer, you'd step back, until you were on the very edge of the castle. He stopped right in front of you. He looked like he was ready to attack. When suddenly, you were pulled into a hug. You flinched at first, but gave in, hugging back. "I am...sorry, lightener." You heard king speak. You were...surprised, to put it lightly, that he...of all people, was hugging you. But you werent complaining. "I-its...okay?" You said, confused. He eventually let you go, stepping back so you could step away from the edge. He looked to the side. "I don't hate you lightener." He said, before walking away. You smiled happily. Mumbling to yourself 'he doesnt hate me....'
