              Everyone was munching on candy as I walked into the precinct.
"Did I miss something?" I asked.
"They tried to take the vending machine away, but it fell and shattered." A random detective said as I nodded.
"ELIZABETH! SWEETHEART!"
"Oh no... Hi mom!" I said as she came to hug me.
"Mom?" Everyone asked.
"Awe honey! Are these your little work friends?" Mom asked.
"Mom, what are you doing here?" I asked.
"Oh! Your father and I have a gala tonight, and we would love it if you'd join us! And little Sam too." Mom squealed.
"Tonight? I-I can't I have work!" I said.
"Carpenter, please. Take the night off." Sarge said as I gave him a glare.
"Oh! Wonderful!" Mom clapped.
"We gotta go get your dress fitted! And pick up little Sammy!" Mom said grabbing my hand dragging me out as I groaned.

     The stylist took a picture of me in my gala dress, and I immediately sent it to Jake.

I shut off my phone after that as Sam ran into the room.
"Mommy! Look what grandpa got me!" He held up a colouring book.
"That's so nice! Did you say thank you?"
"Yup!" Sam's small arms wrapped around my neck as I felt tears in my eyes.
Sam pulled away but noticed my teary eyes and wiped them away with his hands.
"Don't be sad mommy! You can colour in it too." He said as I smiled.
"I know babes. I just love you you know." I said as he gave me a toothy smile.
"I love you too mommy." he said kissing my cheek.

elizabethmay; this little boy right here is why i wake up in the morning. he's my shinning star and my savior, i could not of done anything without this little boy, he's the only boy in my life that keeps me going 💖💓💕
