Chapter 11

      I was in the evidence lockup making sure things were in the right place.
"All right." Jake's voice said as I turned.
"I talked to Dozerman and convinced him to outlaw all personal talk at work. We're in the clear." Jake said coming closer to me.
"And everyone hates you for that, but this is totally working, and no one knows." I told my boyfriend.
"I know. It's the best."
"Sure, so we uh... We should make out." I said fixing his collar.
"Okay, that's very flattering, Elizabeth but there are some rules that I shall never-."
"Let's do it." I said.
"Okay." I pressed my lips onto his as his arms wrapped around my waist.

        I giggled as Jake kissed my neck and my hands tangled into his hair.
"Hey!" Jake and I jumped apart.
"What? Nothing." I pushed Jake away.
"Nothing you were just making out with Peralta." Josh said.
"Ah, there's that candy bar wrapper I was looking for... Oh, Conzer, what are you doing here?" Jake acted surprised.
"So I guess it is hos before cho's with you, Elizabeth. Now I understand why nothing gets done in this precinct!" Seth said.
"The detectives are too busy frenching with each other, but you know what? Your little honeymoon is over!" I looked at Jake as he gave me a small smile"
"Cause as long as I'm here, you two are done! And I'm gonna be here a long, long, long, long, long, long, long, long." He stopped touching his chest.
"Oh, this is a heart attack. This right here, this is a heart attack. Ooh, ooh, ooh." He fell ontop of boxes as they crashed to the ground.
"I'm gonna get help!" I told Jake running out of the room.

         Jake and I stood awkwardly as Dozerman body was rolled onto the elevator.
"What happened in there?" Terry asked.
"Nothing."
"We were just working, separately."
"Yeah, and then Seth just came in and died." I said.
"Like an old cat." Jake agreed.
"Can you think of anything that may have caused Dozerman to be startled?" Sarge asked us.
"Ah nope." i shook my head.
"Uh, he might have been startled by how far apart we were standing." Jake said as I agreed.
"That seems unlikely, but obviously he had a ton of health problems, so, you know, this seems pretty opened and shut." Jake and I nodded.
"Do me a favour and pull the surveillance tapes." Sarge said.
"Right, the surveillance tapes." Jake said.
"Yep, because this is a police precinct." I said understanding.
"You two have something to tell me?" Sarge asked.
"All right, fine." Jake let out.
"Detective Conzer and I may have been in there snorking." Jake said as I gave him a look.
"Yes! Finally! I don't have to keep it a secret." Boyle said holding his chest.
"So what is this? Casual? Serious? I need to know how to make fun of you." Rosa said as I rolled my eyes.
"Are you guys dating?"
"Yes." Jake and I said at the same time.
"But we kept it a secret for two weeks since Captain Holt was working here." Jake said as I looked at him.
"But he's not... At least not anymore." I turned to Jake.
"I-I think we should be serious, everywhere not just at our places. I mean Sam loves you so much." I said.
"You sure?" Jake asked.
"More than sure, I'm positive." I said as Jake pulled me into a hug.
"Look." Jake and I pulled away.
"Terry loves love, but Terry also loves maintaining a professional work environment." Terry said.
"But as your commanding officer, I am very disappointed in both of you." Terry said before walking away.
"So, Boyle." Rosa asked.
"Mm."
"Let's go look at those surveillance tapes, yeah?" Rosa asked.
"Oh, absolutely." Boyle replied as they both ran off.
I huffed turning at Jake as he smiled at me.
"Wanna go pick up Sam and go have lunch?" I asked.
"Sure." Jake grabbed our coats and bags before we headed out.
