Defeated Desires
Heard it over and over,
That alone, my life is better,
Not ready to believe that ever,
But now, my dreams shatter.
Past midnight, i sit in the cold,
Staring into the night around,
Slowly letting the air in,
The dark grips inside.
Relief was to see a firefly,
Its light vanished soon,
It was just some insect,
Reflected against the light.
Thats what I was then,
Just a reflection of some shit,
I was mistook for a firefly,
The fire I had, has gone off.
