Valentine-ville

Blossom of cherry and wood for a door

Carved out with love in a quaint cordiform

Hundreds of cupids in pink skies soar

and into large vats; chocolate is poured

Gardeners and crafters and poets beside

Prepare all the gifts their passions provide

Each cupid in turn takes aim on the scene

and gathers the best their arms can glean

Then with the love they hold in their wings

they give to each other the best of these things

and this grows the love each object contains

until they can't carry anymore from the strain

Father Cupid, the mayor of Valentine-ville

approves, looking down from Hearts Content Hill

and directs them hence to the human plane

through the tunnel of love and down Lovers' Lane
