Chapter Six: The Pack

Naomi and I took the time to get introduced to the pack members. So far, I think that Paige is my favorite female vampire. She's very polite, outgoing and she has a fun, yet fierce personality. I think that Rachel isn't really too fond of me. I can just tell by the looks that she gives and the way she speaks. She reminds me of Valentine. I walked over to talk to Blade for a bit.

"Girlfriend, huh?" I questioned, with a smirk on my face. He smirked and nodded. "I've liked you ever since you invited me to your house." He brought his hand to mine as our noses touched. "You're not so bad yourself. I'm glad that we got partnered for that project." I smirked and gave him a kiss on the lips.

"So, you guys are part of a pack, but what's the point of it?" Naomi questioned. "All vampires come together to become strong. Not to be rude or anything, but vampires are actually smarter and stronger than humans." Violet pointed out, showing her sharp teeth."She's right." Blade chimed in, walking towards us. "We may be crazy but we're not stupid."

Fascinating. But what happens if I put garlic in front of their faces, would that scare them off or would they have a plan to keep the garlic away from them? And what happens if I have a strong LED lightbulb?

At this point, I started to feel tired. My eyes wanted to shut and I started to yawn. "Someone tired?" Blade asked, rhetorically. "A little bit." I replied with a yawn. "Come on, I'll drive you home." he offered. "You got room for two more?" Ian asked, rhetorically. "Of course, you dummy." Blade laughed.

"Don't think that you're staying here. You're gettin your ass home." Ian demanded to Paige. "Ian, I'm old enough to make my own decisions." Paige argued. "You're 16 years old, you're not even legal yet." Blade piped up. Paige rolled her eyes while Ian snickered slightly.

-8:30 pm

"Thanks for the ride, Blade." I gave him a quick kiss on the cheek. "One more." he commanded. I kissed his left cheek. "Right here." He pointed to his lips. I laughed and kissed him for a good 10 seconds. "Get a room, would ya?" Paige said out of nowhere. I smirked while my lips were against his."I'll see you tomorrow." I nodded. Naomi gave Ian a quick kiss, we said our goodbyes and they were off.

Naomi and I decided to climb onto the tree so we could have a little chit chat. It was way to early to be going to sleep. "So, you and Blade are together, huh?" Naomi slightly nudged me. I smirked. "He just said that I was his girlfriend. I didn't even know that he would think of us like that. I thought we were just good friends." I replied. Naomi shook her head and smirked.

"Not anymore." she responded, in a sing-song voice. "Before you know it, you be gettin that vampire vitamin D!" Naomi was laughing to herself while I lightly smacked her on the arm. "Vitamin D is very good for you, especially if it's in your body." I answered, casually. That just made Naomi laugh louder, which caused me to laugh. I swear, we could wake up the whole entire neighborhood.

"Juliette! Mom wants to speak with you!" Jayda calls out from the window. Our laughing died down and I sighed in annoyance. "See you tomorrow." I spoke, giving Naomi a hug and heading back to the window.

"What does she want?" I questioned, while climbing through the window. "To know where you've been this whole time!" Mother was leaning on the door frame, with her hand on her hip. "Chill, I was just hanging with Naomi, Ian and Blade." I answered. I had to be careful that I don't tell her where I was with them. She can't know or she'll probably give me a 10 hour lecture. "Until almost 9:00 at night?" mother questioned.

Ugh, seriously. I know she means well but I think she's taking it a bit far. Other than that, I am 18 years old. I'm legal.

"We lost track of time. We really good friends." was all I managed to say. "And besides, I'm 18 years old, I can make my own decisions."
