Knights started to line up beside Zelda, swords and shields ready for battle. As she looked to her right she found Impa smiling back at her. To her left, the blonde knight, his face looked intense. Zelda looked forward to the hoard of monsters coming toward them. She raised her rapier, Zelda waited for a moment then brought the sword down, signalling for her army to charge.
The battle raged on, with her army coming out on top. Then everything stopped, the enemies had stopped attacking so Zelda signalled to stop. She looked around to see what was happening when an eerie sound rang through out the sky. Zelda had to cover her ears for the moment it happened, but within an instant she was tackled to the ground with strong arms tightly around her. Of course she screamed but when they hit the floor the ground shook.
When she finally opened her eyes she found out that the blonde knight had grabbed her and tackled her. Before she asked questions as to why in Din's name he would do that, she saw the beast that had landed right in the place where she was standing.
"Y-You... You saved me?" He obviously barely heard her because he was already up with his sword out. The beast that stood in front of them was obviously the one known as a Dodongo. Zelda slowly stood up, ready to fight but the blonde knight put out his arm and looked back,
"I'll handle this one, Princess." His voice was so smooth. She hesitated her nod before sheathing her rapier. Before she knew it this knight was leaping left and right, dodging attacks. At one moment the beast opened its mouth readying itself to do something.
Before it had time to unleash its attack, this knight threw several bombs into its mouth. Causing a huge explosion inside the pit of its stomach. The monster collapsed and that's when he attacked it with non stop attacks with his sword. Once it was weak enough he backed up and ran at it. Zelda was thrown off when he jumped and pushed off the beasts shoulder only to jump higher. Zelda watched with anxiety, finally he came falling down and stabbed this large Dodongo in the throat. It screamed with pain, but he did it.
"It's dead... W-We won!" Zelda heard one of the knights shout. She smiled at their victory as everyone retreated back to the castle. Zelda ran up to this blonde knight and caught him by the shoulder.
"Please, tell me, what is your name?" Zelda had to make him turn to make eye contact. His sky blue eyes were intense.
"Link, my name is Link." He had smiled at her, a handsome smile really. Zelda gently smiled back at him,
"Thank you, for saving me like that." He nodded at her, Zelda walked by his side the rest of the way.
"You know, you are like nothing I've ever seen." Link looked at her, a little shocked but he smiled with gratitude.
"Thank you, Princess Zelda, I've always dreamed of this day. You are a special fighter yourself you know." Zelda blushed, a little embarrassed at his statement.
"I'm not that special." Link shook his head,
"Of course you are! Not all princess can fight, or fight at all, like you." Zelda looked at him, his cheeks looked a little pink, she chuckled lightly.
"Why thank you, Link." Zelda could see him almost tense for a second, as a smile played on his face afterward.
They talked most of the way back, Zelda couldn't remember the last time she had laughed or smiled this much. He's so charming... Her thoughts began to trail. When they got back to the castle it was time for them to part ways.
"Again, thank you for everything!" Zelda smiled at him.
"It was my pleasure, Princess." He bowed to her, as a knight should do.
"Please, call me Zelda." Link faced her again with a nice grin, he nodded and they parted. Until the morning.
