Link ran to Zelda's aid in the middle of a giant hoard. He jumped and attacked up coming monsters that were coming up behind her.
"Thank you, Link!" Zelda attacked the enemies in front of her,
"No problem!" Link continued to fight. This time these monsters were strong. They were close to defeat it felt but they finally came through. Zelda turned, feeling a dark presence.
"I can sense someone, someone strong." As Zelda spoke, Link turned his head in the direction she was looking. Link tightened his grip onto the sword and just started running.
"Wait, Link!" Zelda called after him, it was no use.
Link ran. Before Zelda said she could sense something he could feel darkness. Link let his feet guide him. He didn't take the time to even think what he could be up against.
Link reached a room and his feet started to slow down. This feeling was strong. Link slowly turned the corner. There stood a figure, she was commanding enemies to spawn. As soon as Link's boot hit the floor as he turned, she stopped. The woman looked over her shoulder with a smirk.
"The triforce is resinating well." Link readied his sword in hand as she took a few steps toward him.
"Handsome young lad you are..." The woman looked her up and down.
"Who are you? And what do you want with Hyrule!?" She laughed.
"My name is Cia. I am a dark sorcerous. I don't want anything to do with Hyrule... It's y-." Zelda came running in.
"Link!" She had her rapier at her side ready.
"You pest!" Cia quickly growled at them. Suddenly Zelda looked to her triforce and then to Link's
"Ah, I see you brought me the triforce of Wisdom as well... How thoughtful." Cia smirked and waved her hand out. Both Courage and Wisdom were them ripped from their hands. Zelda gasped,
"No!" Cia then laughed. Link growled at her and went to rush her but Cia quickly pushed him back with strong dark magic. Link went flying and hit the ground hard.
"Ugh..." He groaned as he tried to get up.
"Link!" Zelda rushed back to him. Cia wasn't happy with that, not one bit.
"Come on, we have to leave!" Zelda helped him up and they both ran out. Cia was furious but as soon as they left Cia had cast out a dark spell to open three gates of souls. As each one opened in different time lines a chest that held a dark fragment would open. Three pieces made their way back to Cia.
"Well done, Cia." A dark voice spoke within her.
"You have been my favourite puppet yet." Cia started to laugh as the three fragments pushed their way into her chest. She stumbled backwards with a large groan.
"Now to retrieve the last fragment, so my body can be whole." The voice called again.
"Yes, master." Cia smirked.
Once everything was finished, Link and Zelda had to take a look around.
"Hyrule... It's... Changed." Zelda was in shock.
"These new places, they look as though they were places of the ancient heroes!" Link was in awe. They both looked at each other.
"Now we have greater matters to worry about. Who is Cia and what does she want?" Zelda started to ponder.
"There is something strange about her." Link nodded agreeing with her.
"Her mood changed as soon as you entered." Link looked at her.
"Maybe because you are the Princess of Hyrule." Zelda just shrugged,
"We'll learn that with time, I guess, won't we?" Link nodded. At this time the set had began to set. Link took Zelda's hand and they walked back to the castle. That night Link had stayed with Zelda until she fell asleep. They were both scared as to what was happening and they tried everything to comfort others and each other. This war was just starting.
