Link suddenly sat up. He found himself squinting as he looked toward the window. He rubbed the sleep from his face, not one of the best sleeps he had. Something squeezed his hand and he heard something shifting. Link quickly looked to his side, tense, once he saw Zelda soundly asleep he sighed in relief, chuckling at himself. How could he forget he was with her? She had a firm grip on his hand and Link could tell something was on her mind. As she turned over on her side she let his hand go. Link quietly stood from her bed, grabbing his tunic and other garb, and quietly changed. He left a small note for Zelda, telling her where he would be when she woke up. She needed the sleep. Once Link was out the door he picked up on screams. Without hesitation Link bolted towards the screaming. He came to a halt after he saw what was going on. They were being attacked. Link quickly drew his sword and jumped in to help, if he didn't they were sure to be beaten.

It was a bloodbath. After hours, or so it had seemed, it was finished. Many lost. Link stood tall, out of breath, bloody. Half way through, Zelda was woken up by the noise. Guards had stopped her before she could enter the battle. Link slowly looked up at her, seeing the distress on her face. Then the next thing he remembers was everything went black.

"LINK!" Zelda pushed passed the guards and ran to him. He fainted and was out cold. Zelda pressed her ear against his chest, really not caring if she got bloody. She let out a long sigh of relief when she heard his faint heartbeat.

"Guards! Please help me carry Link to the aid room." Four guards joined her side to get Link to his limp feet. They carefully carried him to the aid. Soon the room was full of patients. Zelda never left Link's side. She even got him a separate room. He liked the quiet more than anything. Zelda tended to his wounds personally. He had a few scratches, no stitching was needed, but he was stripped of his tunic and such to be wrapped with bandages. Zelda dabbed his forehead with a cold cloth.

"If this is what Cia is doing... Just for Link..." Suddenly tears stung her eyes. Would she have to give him up for the sake of her castle? For the sake of Link's life?

Hours had passed and Link finally started to wake up, only to hear sobbing.

"Z-Zelda?" Link looked over to see her hunched over on his bed crying. When she heard his voice her head shot up.

"Link!" She quickly cupped both sides of his face and kissed him.

"Oh Gods, I was so worried! Y-You were fighting... S-So many people have..." Zelda chocked on her tears once she was reminded.

"I let my kingdom down..." Link gently grabbed her hand.

"No, you didn't. Your kingdom knows what is happening, there is a war Zelly... T-They understand..." Link took a deep breath, still weak.

"Oh Link... I'm sorry..." He shook his head,

"It's not your fault. I guess we aren't as strong without our triforces eh?" He chuckled light heartedly. That raised Zelda's spirits, only slightly.

"H-How are you feeling?" Zelda felt his forehead. Link only shrugged.

"No different really... You did a damn good job of keeping me well." He winked. Zelda gently blushed.

"I try." They both shared a laugh before Link pulled her in for another deep kiss.

Cia was furious. She was throwing things, screaming, yelling. Her minions quivered away from her.

"Little precious Princess! What does he see in her!? I'm the special one! Why can't see notice me?... Why won't he love me?" Cia had sent that hoard to kill Princess Zelda. She watched the battle unfold. Once she saw Link join and defend she was furious, steaming with rage. This crazed maniac, blinded by a lust.

Cia, this is no time for such foolish love. You have received what I need, now... Be a good girl.

Suddenly Cia jerked forward, falling to her knees.

No... Not yet! Cia's eyes grew wide once she knew what was happening. She watched as four orbs circled her, then, all at once lunging into her body. Cia let out a blood curdling scream. Everything went black, and when she looked up, before her stood the Dark Lord... Ganondorf.

"Well done, Cia. You have been my best puppet so far." That statement made her blood boil.

"I am no puppet!" Cia fought back, causing a sinister grin to pop up on Ganondorf's face.

"Now, if you do not want to be killed, I suggest you give me the triforce pieces!" Cia began to summon them and Ganondorf was going to take them, to rule Hyrule.

"These do not belong to you! They are going back to their rightful owners!!" Cia quickly shot them out of sight.

"NO!!" They vanished.

"You will pay!!" He grabbed her around the neck, tight, throwing her against a wall.

"AH!!" Cia had to push herself up, she couldn't be weak.

"Y-You will never get away with this! I will be the one to win!!" Ganondorf only chuckled as she spoke, then he vanished...

~

Link suddenly winced at a burning sensation on his hand, Zelda did the same.

"A-Ah... W-What...?" Zelda looked at her hand to see a bright yellow light.

"W-Wait... Is this?!" Even Link smiled, looking at her.

"Our triforces!" Zelda smiled at Link.

"Now the fate of this kingdom- no... This world, lies in our hands!" Link held her hand tightly.
