DOMINIQUE

After another week, Dominique was finally going home. Her bruises were still visible on her arms and she lost a little weight. Other than missing her three years of memory, she's physically okay. She could still miraculously walk after the accident. She could go home and...and what? What's next for her?

Dominique was determined to get her memories back. She would still undergo different procedures to help her. She was advised to be surrounded by familiar people. She was encouraged to go to places she'd been that might trigger her memory.

She's waiting in her hospital room to get discharge. Kristine was helping her father in speeding up settling the bill. She decided to see her friends again. She was happy that Devon had good taste in women and chose to love and be with someone like Kristine. She could tell that her brother was smitten with her friend. He even asked their father to have him stay in the Philippines and manage their business here instead of going back to Hong Kong. He wanted to stay close to Kristine. Dominique won't be surprised if they'd be engaged soon.

"Ma, you didn't invite anyone did you?" tanong ni Dominique sa Mama nya. Sinabi kasi nitong nagpahanda ito ng pagkain to welcome her home.

"Few friends," sagot ni Mrs. Encina.

Mas kinabahan sya sa few friends. Baka inimbita nito ang buong angkan nila at kung sinu-sino pa. She was a little anxious. Hindi pa sya kumportableng humarap sa maraming tao. She didn't want people gawking at her like she was a freak.

"You'll be fine, iha," her mother said when she saw apprehension on Dominique's face. She gave her a quick hug. "Don't worry. I only invited close friends."

True to her words, her mother invited close friends only. Aside from Dominique's own family, Kristine was there and so was Mary and her fiancé, Michael. They were getting married sometime this year. Mary asked her to be her Maid of honor and she quickly said yes. Her cousin said Pris would do their pre nup.

"Speaking of Pris, where is she?" Dominique secretly wondered. She expected her to be here too. Sya ang unang hinanap ng mga mata nya nang sinalubong sya ng mga kaibigan kanina pagbaba nya ng kotse. She was a little disappointed.

"Where are you?" She heard Kristine demanded. May kausap ito sa cellphone. "You printed what?" She paused and rolled her eyes. "Just get here as quick as you can!" She sounded annoyed. Kristine turned to Dominique. "Sorry about that."

"Who was that?" She curiously asked.

"The most annoying person in the world," Kristine and rolled her eyes. "Pris."

Before she could confirmed if Pris was coming, Devon appeared and asked Kristine to check something in the kitchen. They excused themselves and left her.

Habang hindi pa oras para kumain ng Lunch, pumasok muna sa kwarto nya si Dominique. She was using the same room since she was a child. May mga renovations lang through the years. Her walls were painted white and cream. Her queen size bed looked comfortable and it was tempting her to lay down and sleep the whole day. Sunlight was streaming from her French doors illuminating the room. On the right side of the bed, there were abstract paintings hanging on the wall. She bought them 5 years ago.

Everything in her room looked the same from what she remembered three years ago. Except two things. Her eyes fell on a glass case she didn't recognize on top of her study table. She walked towards it. Inside the glass case was a black drone with a number 8 sticker near its lens. Bakit may drone sya? What's so important about it that she had to put it in a glass case?
