After getting those important memories, Dominique went home excited. She decided to open her safety deposit box. Matagal na nyang alam kung ano ang combination nito ngunit natatakot syang buksan. Natatakot kasi syang aminin sa sarili nya na mahal nya si Pris. Hindi kasi nya matanggap noong una, na umiibig sya rito. Pilit nyang tinatanggi na may nararamdaman sya para sa dalaga. She tried to push Pris away but it didn’t work. Hindi mapigilang lumabas ang totoo nyang nararamdaman whenever Pris was around.

Dominique punched the combination code. Date kung kelan naging sila ni Pris officially. The safety box was finally opened. Her heart was thumping fast. Her hands were shaking when she took out her 2017 and 2018 diaries. There was also a picture book inside and a DVD.

Dinala nya ang mga ito sa kama at umupo. Sumandal sya sa headboard saka binuksan ang 2017 diary. The beginning of the year was ordinary. She didn’t mention Marcus or anything about her heartache. Work-bahay lang ang naging routine nya but she noticed her parents’ worried looks. Pinilit sya ng Papa nya na magsummer vacation. Her cousin Mary said yes when Kristine invited them to join her in Ilocos.

Hindi mapigilang mapangiti at kiligin ni Dominique nang mabasa ang unang pagkikita nila ni Pris. She really felt a connection to her. She felt so comfortable that she told her about her sad love story and suicide attempt. She really had been spellbound by her warm brown eyes. Same eyes she last saw before falling asleep in Sagada. Siguro nag-overlap ang ala-ala nyang iyon sa unang pagmulat ng mga mata nya sa hospital after the accident. Those warm brown eyes gave her hope, that one day she’d be happy again. That everything would be alright.

Her entries were long and more detailed compared to her 2016 and 2015 diaries. It seemed she wanted to record every moment she had with Pris. It was indeed a beautiful summer. For the first time in forever, she had a lot of fun. She was happy. She was in love with Pris.

Akala nya hindi na sya magmamahal muli hanggang sa makilala nya si Pris, who just moved on from her own heartbreak. Both weren’t looking for love. But when their eyes met, their hearts beat as one. Kaya siguro sila iniwan ng mga minahal nila ay dahil nakalaan sila para sa isa’t-isa. Kaya siguro sya nasaktan dahil si Pris ang nakatakda para sa kanya. Sinabi man sa hula o hindi, si Pris ang mahal nya.

She found out they spent their 1st monthsary at the Encinas’ resthouse in Quezon and how they danced under the rain while Pris was singing Unwritten. Pris took her to different places every month to celebrate their monthsary. Nagco-compliment ang ugali nila sa isa’t-isa. They never slept without talking about whatever their differences were. Lagi nilang pinag-uusapan ang mga tampuhan nila. 

Namula ang mukha ni Dominique nang mabasa ang entry nya when Pris took her nude photos. They did it after their first love making. Maybe that’s why she looked so seductive on that photograph. Was that her after sex look? Napakagat labi na lamang si Dominique at nangiti sa nabasa.

Dominique felt relieved when she confirmed that Pris was really joking about her yanking some girl’s hair because of jealousy. Hindi pa rin nya naiwasang magselos dahil maraming magagandang models ang nakakasalamuha ni Pris but she didn’t show it most of the time. Wala naman kasing ginagawa si Pris para ikagalit sya. Natatakot lang sya minsan na baka makakita ito nang mas higit pa sa kanya.

Ngunit napapawi ang takot nya dahil ipinaparamdam sa kanya ni Pris na mahal na mahal sya nito with her simple gestures. Minsan magigising na lang syang nasa tabi na nya ito at may dala-dalang tray ng breakfast na ito mismo ang nagprepare. Kahit gaano pa ito kapagod sa sunod-sunod na photo shoot nito, pupuntahan pa rin sya nito sa bahay kahit saglit. Kapag si Dominique ang hindi makakauwi ng maaga because of late meeting, Pris would send dinner for her at the office.
