we thought they loved us...

We thought they loved us...

We thought but we didn't know, we thought but we didn't see

We thought but we didn't hear, we thought because to them we should have been dear.

We thought they loved us but they didn't.

We got our cold hearts because we all grew apart.

Hearts used as a board; for throwing darts.

Bang! Bang! They torn to shreds by those who call us names.

By those who call us names, who thought it was a game that could be played,

Played by those whom we used to call our friends,

The friends who would have traded you off for a bunch of new trends.

Our minds started to bend.

We thought they loved us but they didn't.

From then on we learned to keep it on the inside,

Our little white lie,

Our little secret till we die.

All those mind games that you used to play,

We better go outside before we go insane.

Feeling like our minds are wrapped in chains,

Being kept from saying what we really want to say.

It's not like we had it easy,

Believe me but that doesn't excuse us from the things that we did.

We could never accept that we were never accepted,

We shed so many tears like we fell into a depression

Feeling that if we changed we wouldn't get called names,

But it was all the same we were feeling rejected.

It was all the same we were falling down to our underground caves.

Oh our nightmare awaits,

It feels like we've been down here for days

Our free voucher could await.

How many hours away from this dire escape.

From the hell in these caves.

We thought they loved us but they didn't.

Putting someone down thats a low blow

Good thing what goes around comes around

Just like a yo yo.

We wish that we could stop time like a photo

But we stand strong,

And we're gonna bounce back like a photo.

We thought you loved us but you didn't.

Used to tell us we weren't good enough,

Well hell,

We are good enough

And I write this poem like a sharp bite

For those who think they should give up without any fight

So don't tell us were not good enough,

Were not here for you to bring us down.

Were gonna start moving up.

And just like that the little mind games you guys play.

Your over now.

Our feet will be steady on the ground and we won't let you knock us down.

We wont let you kick us while where on the ground because when we get up...

Your hell bound.
