The Hidden Talent

(Kaci's POV)

As soon as we knew it, it was Friday night. The 2017 Homecoming football game. Before the game was when they introduced each classes King and Queen. They went through each of them, until they finally got to us. Senior Class of 2017 King and Queen.

Announcer: "Joey Graceffa and Kaci Johnson!"

We walked up to the track and smiled. Then stopped so the announcer could tell the crowd about us.

Announcer: "Joey is a new student this year to Northridge and is a very good addition to his class. He is known for straight A's and is taking all advanced classes this year. Joey is not sure about collage yet, but he just keeps saying that when the time comes, he will know. His hobbies include singing, dancing, acting, and making his girlfriend Kaci smile..."

We hear an *awww* from the stands.

"...Kaci has been here at Northridge all four years if High School. She claims she isn't very popular and she is the class nurd. Kaci has plans of being a Musical Therapist. She says that no one, not even her boyfriend Joey knows it yet, but she has a passion to sing. She has requested to sing the national anthem tonight before the game, mainly so she could show her boyfriend she can sing in a memorable way. Lastly, Kaci would like to thank her class for being amazing classmates and he wishes them the best of luck in the future."

Everyone is cheering now. I look over at Joey and he sheds some tears. I just kiss him. After I kiss him, I hear some really high pitched screaming. Almost like *fangirl* screams. I tell Joey and he points and waves at these three girls, maybe in middle school, screaming and jumping up an down. They were some of our fans and they came to support us! How nice!

Announcer: "Court, if you would step off the field please? Kaci. The field is yours."

I sang the national anthem. Surprisingly, my voice was nice and smooth. Not shaky at all! After I get done? More cheering. I bow and then walk off the field. The game started.

We ended up winning the game. Everyone was super happy! That night, when Joey and I got home we sat down on the couch. He had a confused, but happy look on his face.

Joey: "Wow! What a night! Don't ya think?"

Me: "Yeah!"

Joey: "You did a beautiful job singing tonight. Why didn't you tell me that you sing? You know I sing too, so I wouldn't of made fun of you!"

Me: "I know. I just... Well... I wasn't ready. We have only been dating for two months.. And the subject never really came up! I'm sorry babe. From now on, I'll tell you these things."

Joey laughed.

Joey: "Or, we could spend this weekend getting to know each other.. My dear Queen."

He kissed me. I kissed him back.

Me: "My dear King, I believe that would be a lovely way to spend this weekend."

Joey: "Hey! For our next video, wanna do a music video?"

I smiled.

Me: "That sounds like fun! When you wanna film?"

Joey: "I don't know. When do you wanna film?"

Me: "Well, I was planning on going to church Sunday.. So.. How about after I get home from church?"

Joey: "Or, after we get home?"

Me: "You wanna come to church with me tomorrow!?"

I smiled.

Joey: "Yeah. The stuff your teacher..."

I interrupted. "...Paster."

Joey: "...Yeah, Paster. The stuff he talked about the other week was really interesting! I wanna know more!"

Me: "Ok! I am so exited now! Night Joey!"

Joey: "Night beautiful!"

And with that, I fell asleep in Joey's arms.
