New Friends?

(Kaci's POV)

It's a new week! The school knows Joey and I are dating and I haven't been bullied since! That's just a plus, I am dating Joey because I love him. Not because I don't wanna get bullied.

It was 7:15am and Joey wasn't up yet! I had to get him up and out of bed or else we would be late! I ran into his room.

Me: "Joey! Get your butt up! We are going to be late for school!"

He jumped out of bed and started to get ready. I left to let him get ready.

We made it to school by 7:30am. We had 5 minutes to get to class. We went our separate ways towards our lockers, but then Joey came back to my locker and we walked to first hour together.

I was sitting in first hour doing my warm-up. Then, the weirdest thing happened... That popular girl that tried to go out with Joey on the first day came up to me and started talking to me.

Girl: "Hey! Heard you and Joey were dating now! That's really cool!"

Me: "Umm... Yeah. Thanks."

During this conversation I had almost forgot that Joey was listening because he sat right behind me.

Girl: "No problem! Anyway, my amazing boyfriend and I are going on a date tonight to a really nice restaurant! And, if you could, we want you guys to join us! You know, like a double date!"

I looked back at Joey. He just gave me a look that only I would understand. I understood it perfectly.

Me: "Sorry, Joey and I would love to, but we have something planned for tonight."

Girl: "Oh. Ok. Well, maybe another time."

She just walked away. The teacher started class.

The day flew by fast and it was time to go home. I was waiting by my locker for Joey, when that same little freshman or sophomore comes up to me.

Me: "It's you again... Question, are you a freshman or a sophomore?"

"My name is Leah. I am a Sophomore. So, I was wondering if you would be willing to help me with my Science project, being a senior and all. You probably could really help me!" She explained.

Me: "I wish I could, but Joey and I have plans for tonight and..."

She interrupted me. Right as she was about to speak, Joey walked up behind her and told me to not say anything.

Leah: "Oh! Do you think maybe Joey could help me? You know, in case Science isn't your subject?"

(From behind her) Joey: "Sorry girl, I can't help you. I have plans for tonight. Maybe another night."

She just said "Fine." and walked away. Joey and I started to head out for the car.

A/N

August is the busiest month of my summer... So I'm not sure how often ill be able to update. But I will continue this story! It's not going on hold an I won't quit! Thanks for all the support I'm getting!
